the edit button's done and distappeared? I need to change 'we' to 'I'

And now it's appeareded again - computers are cruel.

OOOh hang on, I have a vague notion that I've mentioned this before. Is it something to do with time? You can only edit dead quick after you've posted? New stuff goes in - old stuff gets pushed out, DOH!

I'll be doing both nights but because of being unemployed right now it works out cheaper for me to get the National Express from Nottingham to Leeds and return to Nottingham after the gig & then travel back up to Leeds the following day for Night 2 & get the coach back after that.

See you all there - It'll be good to meet people again who I met in 2006 and also meet peole I haven't met before.
:D

And finally got my flight booked. :D

Batty Von Blingtrash wrote:I fly from Belfast to Leeds very regularly - its about nine miles from airport to leeds, and the airport taxis are very reliable. Ive paid between 12 and 20 quid one way from airport to leeds centre- probably get it cheaper with local knowledge but I always just want to get where I'm going. It doesnt take long as long as you dont hit traffic. There are also buses but depending on the route they take can take a veritable age, I wouldnt bother tbh.

Baggage pick up at LBA is VERY efficient - never had bother.

HOWEVER - the last four or five times I have flown I have been hit with big flight delays, twice being redirected to Doncaster, which is a fair bit away. Might be cutting it fine if you need to get checked in if you have any delays?

Have you looked at flying out of Belfast city? They used to do a teatime flight on weekdays, havent used them in a while though as I dont like the airport (and dont get loyalty points from their airline)
Thanks Batty & Abridged for the tips! Belfast would be handy but thanks for the heads up on the delays... If it's risky without the odd bit of snow or a volcano, it mightn't be worth it. I reckon the safest, is to get the flight out from Dublin the night before & take out the stress...

Cheers!
Bus from LBA to the city is only about £1.20, takes half an hour and is very reliable and regular. :notworthy:

Nice one mh!

With one simple post the taxi money is now happily relocated into the cider fountain fund. And I'm feeling all the better for that!
Unless of course the UK's compartively cheap beer has been stolen by the tories in some horrible tax swindle...?!

If it's cheap beer you're after then Leeds has a number of places that will satisfy. I popped into the Fenton (site of 1996 Near Meth gig and located about 3 or 4 minutes walk from Leeds Met Uni) yesterday during a rather long walk and consumed a very decent £1.50 pint of Tetley.

I decided to go for the first night on the basis that they won't have run out of promo copies of the new album they will be issuing to all attendees*.

question: does the venue have a balcony and, if so, is it usually open during concerts?

There's a kind of raised walkway along one side of the auditorium, but if (just throwing a random example out there) someone were thinking of filming from there ;) you would struggle; people coming past all the time in and out to and from the bar.

Hope that helps.
