Now I come to think of it, you're right. Although, Mr. E himself might have fit the part as well : both display J.R.-likeness in the fact they want complete control over their company and don't let anytihng or anyone get in their way. It's only a matter of time before a pissed off ex bandmember or a disgruntled ex girlfriend takes a gun to them to make the resemblance complete... ;D

As an aside : the 'Heart and Soul' box set is one of the most prized possessions in my CD collection. And now back to being off- topic... ;D

Look forward to the film.

Some people really look for something other than this mundane life and it comes across in their music (which attracts like minded souls).
Some find it - some don't.
The process is always the same, descent into hell, purification, deliverance......................it's the taking part that counts....... I think, I hope, I pray

I am obviously somewhat biased but I've never been so moved by a film trailer quite like that before!

I agree, film trailer is excellent. However, having just re-read "Touching from a Distance", this puts things in perspective, the book showing Ian's selfishness and complete disregard for his wife and child at times. All our heores ultimately are flawed, and it is probably these very flaws that make them our heroes in the first place.

Just got back from the cinema ( don't be surprised now it's an film festival in my city) and all i can say about this movie is, this is fantastic piece of art. It Looks for me more like a mix of photo album and music/gig clips; photos are truly great. but there is one objection, this is movie only about Ian Curtis, the rest of the band were shown like they were a bunch of idiots who's taking far to much drugs or drunk to much alcohol, even about his (Ian) wife or "the second one" are not so much, only some slide show of their problems.
Nevertheless take your bottoms to the cinema and enjoy. :notworthy:
