That's the thing with The Cure : you always get what you deserve. AFAIK longest gig ever is Wembley 89 3rd night : about 3h30'.
They said when Porl rejoined the band last year that they would stick with that line up for the new album and tour. Nice idea IMO, it brings something fresh and new to the table. I have a 2005 boot that's really stonking. Only downside is that they can't play Cold without k-boards.

You forgot Three imaginary boys.
What's wrong with pop music ? (that being said, I can do without The head... and Kiss me)
3 imaginary boys et al., though fine tunes in my book, sound a little dated and definable to a specific time.this IMO means that they are "pop".

the mighty *ahem*goth trilogy of seventeen seconds pornography and faith are timeless, being definable to a style rather than a period. (you really do bite don't you?  )
Funny, but when I listen to Vivaldi, it sounds like an unmistakeable product of baroque-period Italy. Quite why we won't be able to say something similar about Pornography in 500 years, I don't know. Is everything pop, in the long term?

Allow me one comment though : they're quite okay indeed, but they're also very high on guitars and very low on synths. So was the Wish sound. Sometimes they're just to Neil Young-ish (not the acoustic one, of course) for my taste : Gretsch geetars + lots of distorsion. It's not that I don't like Neil Young, it's just that it's not the best version of 100 years or Charlotte sometimes that there is.

Fair point well made, but i likes me heavy guitar Cure very much, you've nailed that Wish sound, as i'm also a huge Neil Young fan ~ although yes 100 years is much better on the Trilogy live DVD set.

We must exchange thoughts once again after i've seen the Sisters 2006 ~ have been reading varied responses to their guitar boys during this tour!

Out of the blue and into the black indeed. Image

The only thing that keeps me from being a Neil Young fan is the high-pitched voice. I do know its is regarded by many fans as one of his strengths, but I still think it doesn't go very well with the heavy rock & roll and lumberjack looks. I just find it weird. :?
