UPDATE [March 21]* :
The Warlocks' own circumstances require them to miss four dates,
but the mighty Rob Dickinson has graciously agreed to take over
from them in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.
<delurk>
That's just odd. After the Detroit show I was discussing various things with friends, and the time I saw the Catherine Wheel came up. Rob being cousin (or related anyway) to Bruce (of Iron Maiden fame) the conversation turned to high-brow brit metal. That would've been end of story, but here I see that I could've seen Rob *and* the Sisters out west. Life's odd.

The posting volume on this thread is fairly low for quite some time, until I decide to post something, then a gazillion (ish) posts come in *completely* stealing my thunder!

Certainly. For about sixteen seconds.

thing is, I'm not even a good guitar player. It's likely down to 3 seconds.

That ribbon thing..

-It´s his old suffering with the red one, had to be treated before.
-The Warlocks will rejoin the tour once they have recovered from the results
of that discussion about artistical topics with Andrew.

Or something like that.

Um. Good night.

and still no mention of the glasgow gig? :?

Although...

It was funny to have a band opening for TSoM promoting an album called "Just Like Surgery", what with Chris having appendicitis and Andrew a cracked rib (again).

Every time they mention the album the Sisters are like "Oh god, don't remind me..."

Also. After a while the Warlocks show was just like surgery. Performed without anesthesia. A very long, drawn out procedure involving many tiny cuts. Gah! I know Lou Reed is cool, guys, but he was cool because he wrote, you know...

Songs.

Rather than just doing the 8-to-a-bar guitar drone on its own for 45 minutes...

Yes, it's a bit strange...I would love to see that one if it's gonna be the last indoor-gig on this tour!

A bit strange also that Ireland isn't getting any candy on this huge trip...

I'm really, really not sure "cool" is the best way to describe Lou Reed. :innocent:

i got a pm from artie fufkin saying that the cracked rib occured at the pre gig soundcheck when eldritch was messing about on the warlocks drumkit, got a bit carried away & did a 'mick shrimpton'.

{insert mick shrimpton picture here}

pleased to note band now touring with iron maiden.

{feel free to post this post in the 'none more black' string.}

Just stay away from those things, FFS. Although the thought of Von not being able to resist a quick thud-thump (who can?) is rather fab too. :notworthy:

We had this panic the other night Quiffy, no need for alarm. ;)

Apparently the Corp are co-promoting it but it's still taking place at the Academy.
