With another guitar line and a bit more production work, could be pretty good. I assume the sound 34 seconds in, along with the mobile phone interference at the end is all unintentional (though timing-wise, it seems fairly accurate )
sound like midi :]robertzombie wrote:hot off the press.
Body electric
extremely early incarnation of what could become a stonker of a cover song!

Right, I've posted The Hated Reign's cover of Lucretia onto our MySpace page.
You can find it here:
http://www.myspace.com/thehatedreign
It'll only be up for a week, as I'm not supposed to upload covers there. All feedback, negative and/or positive is welcome.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

Great...I just had a listen back to the file I uploaded. In my haste I put the wrong version up (that'll teach me to name the files properly ). Anyhoo, I've removed the version that was there and will be replacing it as soon as possible.Syberberg wrote:Right, I've posted The Hated Reign's cover of Lucretia onto our MySpace page.

Me and a friend recorded a cover of "Heartland" when we had some spare time in a studio, a few years back.
My friend (Staffan) does the vox and play some guitar, I play bass and the rest of the guitars.
Oh, and Staffans PC does the drumming.

Please, let me know what you think of it.

It sounds good, I'd like to hear anything else you recorded (sisters related or not).
Did you use a PC programme for the drums?

Yes, a program called FastTracker 2, IIRC...
And thanks!! I´ll try and dig up the old demos...I think we recorded 3 of our own songs...

We Are The Same, Susanne
Wasn't sure whether it should go here or in The Singer's Turn without vocals. Oh wells. Transcription based on the 2nd Brussels gig, I bottled the chorus lead (my tab ended up dodgy at best). I think it works. Sort of

Love the slightly manic/intense feel. "Faster, but slower".
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
Thanks
Techy details for those who care:
Guitars (Lead and Rhythm) are a Squier Strat through a reverb'd Marshall DFX30 and lined into an Edirol UA-20. The bass is a soundfont, synth is "Crazy Diamonds" and the drums are done by the Drumatic VSTi. The vox went through an SM58 and a Behringer MIC100 pre. All mixing/editting was done in Sonar LE.

I reherse Alice/Neverland/VT but never dare to cover it. These songs are holy sacred.
ABER, and it's almost the same (hum!), I recorded this cover of Paradise Lost :

I posted my bands live cover of TOl ages ago. I think it got a few nice comments (and a few dodgy ones). It's a fun song, but we only do it acoustic these days.
Got a cover of something fast by myself somewhere too, which I may post for comedy value.

frankly, i'm sick of seeing the word "raped" every time i look at the forum. its a horrible turn of phrase and in my opinion wholly inappropriate for a discussion as trivial as this
anyone mind if i change it to "covered"
