just hold the bass as low as you can get the strap to go, and hit the
A string in time to the drum machine
every now and again hold down the 2nd or 3rd fret for a couple of notes, then let it go again.
and remember, everything is usually repeated in groups (called "bars") of 8 or 16 notes. unless you are a techno musician or a prog bassists in which case its usually in bars of 32 or 64
(the
A string being the one next to the thick one at the top (the thick one is the
E string)
that always worked for me
