The goth-metal scene has been ripping off The Sisters something fierce for years. Paradise Lost, Type O Negative, Tiamat, Beseech, Theatre of Tragedy, Moonspell, Sentenced, etc... To the point where Tiamat's cover of Sympathy For The Devil is routinely misattributed to The Girls.

I can speak from personal experience, as a Big Metalhead (not in the physical sense; I'm a rather slight metalhead) with Big Metalhead Friends (some of whom are sizeable) that Von & Co. have a sizeable contingent of fans among those who tend toward heavier fare.

Yeah. But if they show up with the same production as on their last tour they will be laughed off stage.

(Sounds like the average sisters song live in 2007, we will hear boooh many times. And the fun thing is: we still support The Sisters, as if its St. Pauli during the Retter aktion)

Hey I Still love them. And i know how Crash and Burn CAN sound like, but i fear the sound on a windy metal field after frying the ears with s**t bands. We know how it CAN sound like and still have a great night, but... you know.

Y'know...some metal-band dudes aren't bad looking...and they seem to be on the taller side, for some reason (mere coincidence?)..? Perhaps I've been hanging out in the wrong scene(s) all these years!   :innocent:

Reports of The Sissies gig at the very metal Tuska Festival in Helsinki last year were not good. 'Easily the worst band ever booked to play the festival' one metalhead web-zine wrote. Half the initial crowd had hit the bars long before the end of the set. Surely only the same will happen. (this info is of course all second hand (at least)).

Me? I'd bloody love to see them play a metal festival. Throw in an afterhours rave and that's all yer bases covered very nicely. 8)

Well if at "Battle of Metal" half of the initial crowd joins the bar during the sissies set than there're exactly 200 lost souls left front of stage, assuming that 400 people like last year show up on this festival.

I´d be very surprised if the Sissies would even turn on the doctor for a thirty minutes drum solo for such an occasion..
