IZ.

But then I'd have to kill myself, IZ. Sorry. :von:

ETA: Ok, that was a bit harsh. But at the end of the day, *I'm* the one who has to look at myself in the mirror, you know? I've only got me, so I need to like what/who I am - other folks' opinions be damned.

Thank fcuk for the skinny chasers, that's all I can say
I'd be f**ked (or not) in a world full of Blasts

But Sinny, take it from a bony bitch - have that goddamn ice-cream. No-one ever lost their abs to an occasional plate of Ben and Jerry's, it's the 12th tub you've got to worry about!

...hence the lack of that sort of *cough* "action" chez Sinnie (you've apparently never been to the American Midwest, you lucky girl!).

But Claire sweetie, I don't even *like* ice cream. Really! Sweets are :urff: to me.

Now, see, my dietary downfall is a big hunk of CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE. *Dies*

Mature cheddar, on a cracker, with some cranberry sauce on top, more precisely!

It really works

Oh and Sinny, don't get me wrong - those who appreciate the lighter lady are actually pretty few and far between here as well. For all we're told "society" is forcing it on us, there isn't much veneration of skinny ladies outside the realms of the fashion magazine - in fact most of the media, and the man in the street, apparently believes that I am not a "real" woman.

Make of that what you will!

...perhaps you should move over here, then, hon. I think you'd find an appreciative horde...

...meanwhile, I'll be moving to Scandinavia or the Netherlands, where I'll be considered "normal," for once.

It's about the only thing that does appeal about LA LA land... sadly, it's cancelled out by all those Americans I'd have to meet...

 No kidding!

My six-foot tall dad is positively a shortarse over there.

And as for my 5-foot mum... I have to pick her up and put her in my pocket to prevent her getting swept away in crowds of towering Valkyries!

OMG. I must get there, then. Now. No, really. NOW.

Maybe I'll actually get a date with a real boy before I'm 50.   :von:

No matter how single and cute he is, you'll be in too much crippling agony by the end of the day to do anything about it, trust me!

Maybe you gals, either side of the proverbial pond, need to find somebody who values a person for who they are and not because they're thin or not. If you can be who you are for yourself then that's the most commendable, and only important, thing.

Oh, and on the subject of the sun (remember that ? ) I'd just add that those who shun it and prefer a healthy pallor are, to me, just as desirable as those who wish to go for the gas mark 7 tan. Actually, probably more so.

I don't think anybody should worry about being 'normal' though - just as long as they feel they can be themselves.

[slaps own cheek and snaps out of nauseating honesty]

Sorry, what were we talking about again ?

You're perhaps assuming that us ladies are not equally interested in the physical appearance of men.

Don't mean to get political by the way - I shouldn't even start on these subjects as I do seem to hold some pretty singular views :|

Undoubtedly you are, but what Carpy said was about finding someone who liked you for how you are. Obviously you'll be looking for a good-looking "someone"!

Ah, well that's perfectly true of course, Paul.
