I think it is Jürgen Jansen from the s.h.i.t.t.y german electro dark band called Project Pitchfork ...
I think the Sisters need to get a new one or they will loose the trust of promoters (festivals, big venues ...).

the moral of that is: expect nothing and enjoy .
i hope that someone will understand somethng of that
Surely if you've paid your money to see a band you should expect them to be prepared and ready to put on a good show.
You wouldn't go to a restaurant, pay good money and *hope* that the food will be alright. You expect it to be of some standard.
Clean or poluted air.......I have to breathe anyway...

Well I always expect the ultimate best, and it always turns to be exactly what I expected. How come?
Surely the Lorca gig would have been a lot better if I had attended it (as far as judging by reviews is concerned). But don't worry, all is not lost, Zottegem and Geiselwind will be awesome, I can already assure you of that.
PIB - what Ganith said - go to both.
Ganith, you too.

seen him in Moscow in 2004 (pic from there)
his MySpace says he also engineers Nitzer Ebb sound
well, NE sounded good here year ago
probably he's involved in Sisters' programme of being s**t/best time by time
regarding Alice from Lorca i can hear too loud bass and crappy mix for vocals
in Moscow they were OK, but too loud drums then

But hey, i hear him scream "heeeeeey" at the end. It's not THAT bad.

Remember Roskilde "Many usual background roadshow members were also missing, including soundboard chief Jürgen Jansen [..] Worked quite good."

Which I guess leads one to the conclusion that The Sisters are just sh*t. OR he just struggles with the drum-bass / guitar equation. Who knows?

Or it's just that the good Dok is now so old that it's become every sound engineer's worst nightmare.

Paris and Luxembourg 2006
were good...
... but Motörhead in Nancy last week (just to name one) was much better, and I'm getting tired of those set lists that never significantly change.
It wouldn't take a world of change, would it ?
- update the Dok ;
- hire a human bass player ;
- get a new sound engineer ;
- bring back some old numbers ;
- play some covers if you really don't have any new songs...

Count me not amongst your number, young James. I just think they've
gone sh*t, and I can't see how they can get it back, given the general situation (human
anything more than what you get being financially unavailable).
Doesn't make their impact on me any less, I just won't entertain the idea of travelling anywhere soon to see 'em.

Aye, that'd do it. That and a shiny shiny new LP i reckon. Karaoke Sisters just ain't the draw anymore.
For those who still
do though, i'm happy you had a right nice time!

all we need now is Ozpat to contribute and we have a fullhouse
are you not the same person who hounded people off the forum last year for having an alternative opinion than: the '
girls (where did that come from by the way?) are great, the songs are great and it's no longer 1985
Paris was okay, nothing special
sad, that we have to consider attendance at gigs in terms of likely people we'll meet up with, but there you go...wouldn't be surprised if he's playing these daft out of the way places just to 'test' even more

They called it 1991, it was awesome...
I think it's fairly obvious his voice is shot to the point where the desk & most PAs aren't enough to compensate, regardless of whos mixing the sound. He really needs to think about how he's going to sing if they're to keep touring

I take that as a compliment
pib....
My contribution is that I agree with the bass player and the setlist. You allready know the rest of my opinion...obviously.
Meeting people is great but not a must to visit a gig. Certainly not!
Not for me anyway...
Paris okay? Isn't the point that the way a gig is experienced counts?
After all we are going and hope to enjoy and feel good. For some it was okay, for others it was better. For you it was okay....for me it was
great.
Maybe my experience was even better because some people stated that the silver bullet was a farewell tour!

So ?
BTW I
also said, even back then, that I wanted a human bass player and more variety in the set lists.

Have to agree with Stu on this one. Was watching Krakow '06 last night followed by Miami '91 - the difference in performance is just worlds apart. The energy and attitude from 1990-91 was awesome but there's just so much missing from the performances nowadays and has been for a few years now
Setlist's have never really varied that much (per tour) but I think the sheer ordinariness of the gigs and the mundane delivery of the songs simply highlights the fact that it's the same old routine each time. It wouldn't take too much effort to throw in the odd surprise choon now and again, or even do something different with the lighting. Each gig should be a unique experience, influenced by venue and crowd
and performance...not simply a std, predictable 'off-the-shelf' routine lost amidst a
long list of tour dates.
I kinda get the impression that Eldritch just can't be arsed anymore, but will probably keep doing it as long as punters keep paying to see them. It's the easy option.

I'm sorry, but if there wasn't energy and attitude in Krakow '06 then I'm a tall thin blonde whose favourite TV show is Big Brother.
