If there are 2364 of us and we all chucked in a few quid then at least we would all get to hear these things on download.
And, if we put in £423 each, we could come up with the million that Eldo reckons is all that is keeping him from releasing the oodles of new product he has ready to go.
Does Quiff Boy fancy being a record company owner though?

As investors in the Heartland record company we would make a percentage on records sold and merchandise. I'm pretty sure we have some great designers here for new t-shirts
Why are record company executives like snakes?

Nah, according to Patricia he can't add up that well- especially when it comes to royalties

It ain't actually that bad an idea - Marillion have financed LPs and tours this way, and it seems to work reasonably well for them (although admittedly they operate at a much lower profile than Von would like the Sisters to operate at).

It has rather surprised me, given Von is at least marginally computer literate (when not forgetting his domain password) that he has not gone down that route - even if only to cash in on the currently toured material (by way of album or psuedo-bootleg release).
Neubauten, by way of example, use a supporter funding service through the net. I obviously do not know how the finances balance for them, but they were able to finance the recording of Perpetuum Mobile and then present it to Mute, who the funded subsequent touring antics.
And given an age old question of whatever happened to La Costa Rasa (sp? to lazy to check the web) (and not "whatever happened to PiB's/Eric's Oslo gig) could be answered through Heartland Records...
... well, it could hardly be any more dormant than Merciful Release. Someone should set up a "this site under construction" web page.

Even something like
Metallica do at
http://www.livemetallica.com/ would get some cash towards the band, and go a long way towards generating some good will among the fans.

Marillion... Metallica... are you going through the bands alphabetically, MH?
Entirely agree, though - with only a marginal amount of work Von would be able to source (for payment) an "rsv" version of a live gig.

I have heard rumours that at least some of the money generated from some of the higher-quality bootlegs has made its way back to

Personally, I don't think Eldo has the oodles of product ready to go. He just knows nobody would be that stupid as to offer him a million quid.
What I am saying is, we could be that stupid.
