Seriously, what's done is done, and there's nothing to be gained from persisting with grudges. If Loz has been willing to offer peace, then at the very least he deserves a hearing out.
My thoughts exactly, ho hum

Big Si, where did you find that info on myspace, I've searched the MV official space and can't find it. Don't want to miss out on one of those tickets.

Actually that's not true, after seeing this post I emailed Loz to see if he's involved and apparently despite wanting to be, Simon is still pissed with him for kicking him out in 1984. So could have been the full crew if Simon would grow up a bit.
You should have popped round and asked him. :innocent:

MVTV :notworthy: Love it.

Is it just me or does the idea of picking a 1000 capacity venue seem incredibly optimistic for the MV's comeback?

I 'got into' indie/alternative music in the mid 80's and saw The Sisters/Mish/GD/Sallies/Eves/FOTN/Balaam/ROA/Spear/NMA/RLYL and others between 1984-88, but didn't get into the Violets until the early 90's. They were one of those bands that I'd heard of and I knew of the links with the Sisters, but they always seemed very much underground compared to all of the above.

After getting into them so late, it will be great to see them at last and from the post above from their My Space site, the band seem to be expecting masses of foreign visitors, but I can't help wondering if it will be a third full at best?

Maybe they've got a lot of mates, after all they've had 20 years!

But in many ways, agreed, they didn't even release an album, and despite having a loyal following at the time, are there 1000 people as excited as the few of us, to make up the numbers?

I'd guess the guys have done their maths and are expecting a sell out!

It only takes 1 in 25 of their myspace friends to come and bobs your auntie it's a sellout.

That is an impressive number, if they can get that much interest in 6 months just putting themselves on myspace, I'll be expecting nothing less than a same day sell out ;)

Hi all, I just found out about this gig and indeed about My Heartland via posts on a Play Dead message board.

I certainly hope to be around for this one. :)
