skeletal remains I've sent you a PM!

Does anyone know any websites or anything to find share accommodation in Berlin, or know anyone with a spare room (I'm happy to pay)

I'm going to be there from 11 Feb to about 27 Feb.

talking about accommodation: try this link

there are plenty of hostels and stuff, mostly really cheap.

The following one is not bad:

Youth Hostel International
Kluckstr. 3
10785 Berlin
(I stayed there in 2005 I think)

Location is not too far away from the venue as well.

About these budget bus / train tickets from Berlin to Dresden for 5 people:

Do you think there will be no problem with buying them at the checkout right before we go on Feb 28th (which would be safer given the fact that there has to be 5 people at the same time in the same place after an all-night afterparty),
or should we arrange the groups and book in advance? (in which case I'd rather book just one ticket for myself and rely on myself only) ?

in general it's always better to book in advance ;-)

but considering that you can only use regional trains with the weekend ticket without having a save seating place, pre-booking is not mandatory.

when the train is full of people, it's full. no matter if you booked the ticket in advance or if you bought it the same day. but these trains are never booked out!

19 minutes with the U-Bahn(underground):

go the U-Station Wittenbergplatz
take the U1 (Direction: S+U Warschauer Str.)
at U Hallesches Tor you change to U6 (Direction: U Alt-Mariendorf)
At "Platz der Luftbrücke" leave the underground and follow the black people.

the underground drives through the whole night.

Your Hotel is in the near from the red light district with many junkys.
Go not in direction Nollendorfplatz/U-Station Kurfürstenstrasse!!!

So how many people plan to use the weekend ticket offer for the Berlin-Dresden train? And how many others plan to travel back to Berlin the next day? In the likelihood that there are not exactly 5 or 10 people making this trip, I'm presuming that we would split any extra cost between us all. That would make quite a differece to the price though. Having seen how much Gernam train fares can cost, I really don't want to end up paying the maximum price on the day of travel!

as i said: the whole ticket costs 39 EUR and a maximum of 5 people can travel with it. single prices for that option would be as follows:

5 people: 07,80 EUR
4 people: 09,75 EUR
3 people: 13,00 EUR
2 people: 19,50 EUR
1 people: 39,00 EUR

not so much after all, even if you are alone.

i presume there will be around 10 people who will take the weekend train.

me + 3, paint it black + 1, emma, andrew s.

anyone else?

we would take one of these trains:

can't judge about the way back. should be a bit more complicated. i'll leave on march 1st (sunday) in the afternoon back to berlin, maybe taking one of these trains:

Yes I confirm I'm up for it.
I'm glad to join you on whichever train you choose from Berlin to Dresden, but NOT on the way back to Berlin, besause after the Dresden gig I'm going home (to Poland).

Cheers for the clarification Christian :notworthy: I'd be up for the first train from Berlin to Dresden but the second would be too late for me. As for the return, I'll need to get an earlier train, as I've got a 18:15 flight from Berlin.

There are no pubs around the Columbia Halle and the club on the other sight of the street will not be open before the gig I guess... so I suppose most people will concentrate on the aftershow party (while I will concentrate on getting rid of my lack of sleep and some omeprazol).
