I must say that even though I really love that they brought Floorshow back. It is way too short. It almost takes away from my happiness. It sounds so good, and the new arrengement sounds great and then... it ends. No, this is just not good enough, I am sorry.

Wow. I'm listening to the recording now, just up to Train.

It really is a different experience with those vocals eh?

Nice one, thanks Katt.

I am now thoroughly convinced that there are always going to be contradictory reports of Sisters shows. Maybe it really does matter where you are standing - I've heard the recording of this show, the vocals are clear as day. But this review (and comments I've seen elsewhere on the web) say otherwise.

http://www.culturebully.com/the-sisters ... e-11182008

It's a good review - but quotes like "And although Andrew’s vocals were buried too low in the mix, we were in for a treat indeed." and "While I’m not convinced that the backing vocals should ever overpower Andrew Eldritch’s, as during the chorus on songs like “This Corrosion or “Dominion/Mother Russia, guitarists Ben Christo and Chris Catalyst’s did energize the live show" do have me a bit confused. But then in the comments section there is this: "I must ask where you were standing at the show to not hear the vocals. From my vantage point (one of the black shadows in the front row in front of Andrew), the vocals were loud and overpowering. Definitely the best sound I’ve ever heard at a Sisters gig."

So - it appears no one is ever going to agree with each other on the sound, particularly this tour.

Well, long time no post...

This has to be the best recording of Von's vocals so far in recent years - i'm utterly impressed! Heads up Kattatonia!

Hope i'll get Floorshow in Hamburg or Cologne...

Yeah, i known, i'm kinda new on this board, even if a visited lot's of gigs in the past years... never posted anythings valueable... :(

so, any reader(s) going to hamburg AND cologne ;) i'm sure i will...

best wishes to all,
f.
There's a secret song at the centre of the world, and it's sound is like razors through flesh. I'm here to turn up the volume.

That was me :innocent:

Seriously gotta wonder if that person ever stepped outside of the can to hear the show.

 Should've known that was a Heartlander, from the way people who attended this gig were describing the sound. And we've got recorded proof, thanks to Kattatonia_x that the vocals were loud and clear!

Hey, but what's up with them Pagan dudes that should go go go go go...? I mean, i see that Von's no longer into old folk religion, to prove he ain't king of spiritual dudettes like Wayne Hustle, but that must not mean he quits Pagans.

must it?
