I may very well be wrong but aren't all The Sisters song in A? I know I just read an interview where Eldritch said he could only sing in the key of A.

A Minor

Okay then... now where do I get a GIF like the one 7anthea7
used to some up the eleven LOLs above?

Anyway... all Sisters songs do revolve within a limited range of tone.
Also, :von: more often talks his lyrics than sings them. It is somewhat
the same with the band Curve and singer Toni Halliday... that is why
they strike me as rather similar to the Sisters. I have often thought
of Ms. Halliday as the female :von: .

I am exceedingly silly in my seriousness.(..going back to the library now...)
It's all His fault--changing "thing " to "curve".Way too much excitement around here.
( "curve" is much better though.)

depends on the context - curve 1 is just silly, and yet, space is thing is also silly - which i noted two days ago

I like "there is a thing that I don't know"--it's simple -a childs sing -songy phrase."there's a curve that I don't know" ties in with the "swerve " a few lines down. Not just because of the rhyme;curve and swerve both imply a deviation-going off-course in an unforseen way.
and space/time are curved.

He's using automobile imagery/metaphor again, so changing 'thing' to 'curve' is consistent with that. (It does come down to a burning car, after all...)

I think "curve" a lot better than "thing".
(Somewhat fed up with all these "things" over the years).

"Curve" implies a line and not an area, space or form.
More like a way or a move or a calculable line.
Changes the angle towards the whole rest of the text. And I like it.
Can imagine it a bit like Ribbons and Under the Gun , now.
If one can transform it into being ...

I like the "Car ...is burning at the mine", but only since
Detonation Boulevard is already there.
The part before ... perhaps a blank line after the "calm"?
I wonder, but I feel a break there.

And a second blank line after the whole part (since there is already one).

But I go too far already again. So forget it. It's just come to my mind.
I'm grabby mental s**t, anyway.

I think curve and thing are both important to crowley; as is the idea of the void and if you were to dial up 1914 you may get to MCMXIV and cricket and villa

... but then, i think too much, so i havn't thought about why his car is burning yet

I can't believe he's coming up with the book of lies now. Inane babbling for confused teenagers. He should know better by now. But hey, Bowie had that phase too.

on another note: superb lyrics. chapeau old man.

So, what is mostly written in the book of lies, now? Could you give a short reference?
As far as I remember, it's about certain truths. Didn't agree with all of these truths, to be honest.

And Bowie's Station to Station ... Golden Years, Word on a Wing, TVC15, Stay, and Wild is the Wind ...
I wonder whether this phase of Bowie's could compare here... well, yes, in a way, I can see your point,
... and anyway - a great record at that time. We've all swallowed it deeply, like Crowley more or less.

I think, Andrew left Crowley a long time ago - and fortunately so.
To me it always seemed, he'd forced himself into it in order to cope with
... whatever. And because he was recommended to do so.
But this is merely a guess. Anyway, it has cost him a lot. - And it's past.

...
