Ta! Am sure you'll be fine in yours. Mine is (the very boring sounding) the curation of archives as tools for regional arts regeneration in North West Ireland. I know on the mainland Phds take about 5 years or so. Here you usually have to do them in 3. Not sure I could last 5!

well I am also working so that's not helping with the timeframe. and the subject is never boring..otherwise we wouldn't choose that specific topic right?

This is true! Ah I was working the first year. I used to write in the quiet parts of the week at work. When nobody was looking!

Alternatively you could always have a go at writing about The Lack Of New Album And Its Influence On The Perception Of New Gigs In Various Venues, A Contrastive Analysis Based On Experience.

It will take longer than 5 years. It evolves.

I would really like to make jokes about your hotel choice and I am sure you will have extra good time before and after the gig, but I am staying in Hotel Sissi (plenty of room for another joke there).

 well I haven't booked yet...it's on the other side of the river on the 4-6 tram line, but hotel sissi is pretty close as well..whole lot of sex shops around the area of course. heh

This may seem like an odd question.......but do you guys think this is doable on your own...either by train, car or plane.....in a wheelchair? I really don't mind traveling on me own and stuff but this seems kinda out there. I for one have no clue about the local public transportation and accessibility and stuff like that but would HATE to end up stuck in frigging Hungary.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

I'm pretty sure it's doable by plane, and from what I remember it should be perfectly doable within the venue, so I think the only issue is the transport from airport to hotel and from hotel to venue (taxi?). It is possible to park a car right in front of the venue, and once you're there there'll be familiar people to help if necessary. :)

this site will certainly help you with transportation:

you can also request a minibus from these guys and give them a call if you have more questions.

in the meantime I picked up the tickets from my mom. yay. now let's hope that the weather will also cooperate

I plan to be in Budapest latest 7pm. We can meet at the ship anytime.

It would be nice to see who will be there.

Unfortunately, we already know who will not be there, right Mr. DasPerltAber .

Are there any places to grab a beer close by ?
