Magnificent call my friend, and you could be right. :notworthy:

I think some of yous are spending far too much time thinking about this. I just banged mine out in 10mins. :)

Based on a combination of my current iTunes Top 20 and my irrational fears of being eaten by a tiger.

Maybe I didn't read the rules correctly? Or need to bend them even more. :innocent:

You don't need to sing Marco!

Just remember Köln 2009 (when you were seriously on a different planet  ) and you'll be fine.

I thought I was fucking mental, but you were on top form that night! :notworthy:

If you can't scare away the animals in that mode, nothing will.

The Doors - When The Music's Over
but only that version. :notworthy:
that is #5 on my list, i guess. 5 to fill.
and from book i would chose: complete J.G. Ballard or P.K. Dick or S. Lem. i guess that Ballard and Lem would be fine.

Songs, a selection with no particular order:
Sisters - Floorshow. My all time Sisters favourite.
Bruderschaft - Forever. A great project and a great song.
VNV Nation - Beloved (live). Gave me the creeps, when I first heard it.
Mish - Like A Hurricane.
Velvet Underground - Venus In Furs. One of the first goth songs.
And Also The Trees - Shaletown. I love this one.
The Nits - Nescio. A fairly unknown pop band from the Netherlands with a lot of great songs.
New Model Army - 225. The best song ever showing the helplessness re technical developments and how to cope with.
The Walkabouts - Jack Candy.
Einstürzende Neubauten - NAAMMM. Somehow hypnotic.
Covenant - Call The Ships To Port. One to much, but wouldn't leave out this great song.

Book:
Richard Schwartz (a German fantasy writer) - The Askir series, especially vol. 1 "Das erste Horn", alternatively JRR Tolkien The Lord of the Rings

Luxury Goods:
A lot of beer to drink the (lonely) nights away...

XXXTreme Thread Necro:

this is the 21st century so unless we're only allowed a) a media storage device that doesnt play mp3's or b) 8 one-sided 7" singles i am goimg to interpret 8 pieces of music as 8 albums....so:

1.Some Girls Wander By Mistake -TSOM
2. Pornography -The Cure
3. No Remorse -Motorhead
4. Ghost Of Cain -New Model Army
5.Rainbow Rising -Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow
6. Born This Way -Lady Gaga
7. Black Sabbath -Black Box
8. The Feeding of the Five Thousand -Crass
9.Overture 1812 -Tchaikovsky (because i cant count.. :innocent: )

as t'bard is really not intended to be simply read but to be performed/watched i'm having the complete works of Iain (M.) Banks instead.

and instead of the bible i'm having "the anarchist's cookbook" -a far more useful guide to survival than the bible as presumably i am alone and the book of Deuturonomy hasn't got recipes for making lysergic acid diethylamide out of fructose and mould. and explosives.

luxury item -either a cybernetic sex-doll or a better-than-life game. failing that a dartboard and darts (not the daddy cool -singing 70's pop outfit , featuring "ooh-look-how-mental-i-am" dan hegarty, Darts but some nice slimline tungsten ones with Jolly Roger motif flights.)
and a gun. or a gnu. but not an ung. not in the desert.

1. Hawkwind - Hawkwind
2. No Remorse (or Ace of Spades) - Mötörhead
3. Kimono My House - Sparks
4. Brazen (Weap) (Junior's Arena Anthem) - Skunk Anansie
5. 6th Symphony - Beethoven
6. Der Ring des Nibelungen - Wagner (because it's utterly utterly batshit, that's why)
7. Witching Hour (or Gravity the Seducer) - Ladytron
8. Red - Savlonic

Extra book: A White Merc With Fins - James Hawes
Luxury Item: inexhaustible supply of ink and paper - I intend to use the time to write the screenplay for A White Merc With Fins, having long believed that I'm the only person who can.

and I'm keeping The Complete Works - I'll finally get to realise my dream of merging the Loony Scottish Maniac With Batshit Missus, Richard III, and Henry V into one fabulously evil but fantastically talented character, and when I am rescued I shall present it on the London stage to rapturous applause and worldwide acclaim ("Mr. Bastard's re-envisioning of the Bard's works is the most refreshing interpretation seen on the London stage since 1873. His first play since being rescued from the desert island of Disc, "King Harry The Hunchbacked Superstitious Pussywhipped Psychopathic Bastard," is a piece that cuts to the heart of the Shakespearean craft, and his casting of Bill Nighy in the lead role is inspired." (The Guardian - March 23, 2028)). It will be made into a film starring Dame Maggie Smith, Helen Mirren, John Sim, Christopher Lee, Alec Guinness and John Mills (because we'll have found a way to bring people back from the dead by then), will be the highest grossing movie of all time, it will win every award going (even the AVNs), and I'll be beating off the fanny with a shitty-stick as a result.
