THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think you're right. I think there are more tracks.
I also thing the secret gig is to play these for the first time in public. Otherwise, why bother holding one? Historically secret gigs were used by Von to try out things that were out of the usual.
They're playing tonight, September 12th, so we'll know if I'm right soon enough. I predict no new tracks until September 16th in Antwerp, and there after drip fed out.
Didn't Von promise to "shake things up" this year?

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
I'm imaging Are We Going To Be Bad as the content of the email in the Who's Been Naughty thread read out over a repetitive beat, Finland Red, Egypt White style...

That was supposed to be 2016...
It all runs together for me

Yes . . . but never so specifically. It's always been quite vague (with the exception of Far Parade, which was incredibly specific to the point that Von published lyrics to a song online ten years ago and somehow never got around to singing it.)
Also, in my limited dealings with Ben (I met him in Belfast a few years ago) he and Chris have always been quite keen to do this kind of thing. I hassled him and said 'for the love of God, please release something" and he basically said "it's not up to me, I'd love to."
This time around he's hash tagged some of these song titles on his instagram page. So it would be perversely cruel not to play them.
Who am I kidding? It's the sisters. We're in a dysfunctional relationship with an emotionally abusive band.
The pedant in me would argue that 'Summer' was the closest we got to having actual product in our hands, or down our pipes, whatever you kids say nowadays.
....if I have to explain, then you'll never understand....
There are a lot of clues here, and buried in Twitter as well.
I’m so stuck in work mode that I’m tempted to make a mindmap to capture all the spokes. (Fortunately for all, I’m also too busy in work mode to actually do such a thing.)
Still, on the one side are the efforts to create a buzz and also to engage directly that you can see from Ben’s communications. On the other side is speculation about Chris’s exit.
But the interesting part no one’s talking about is, who makes up the kickline? 😄

Given the tendency to f**k up More after playing it a million times I'm pretty nervous about the chances of a new song going well without s**t loads of rehearsal!

I would have sworn that A Better Reptile would be just a t-shirt slogan, but having heard the song, I'm keeping everything crossed for A Better Reptile EP. It would just make sense, if we were in world where the Sisters still released records.
