Yes his voice isn’t up to it.
Irritatingly the only scenario that could truly hid his vocal deficiencies is new studio recordings...

He'd have to take his shirt off if he wanted to compete with Toyah's Sunday youtube thingy. Did anyone see that? Ay caramba, nearly took my eye out!Planet Dave wrote: ↑24 Nov 2020, 20:04 I'd prefer a Metallica-inspired Sisters Sundays (or any other day beginning with a S)

so we have 3 weeks until " Ruby Tuesday"... i guess we arent getting an invite after all. i can make my own cup-cakes and i have a fit girlfriend and several female friends (who can forget the fire-bretahing as any old slapper can spit zippo fuel) but i would like some new postcards, a 12" -signed- vinyl record of Geneveieve ; a t-shirt that says "Ruby Tuesday" on the front and "40 carriages long and still roilling" on the back. and say...Red Lorry Yellow Lorry supporting
(i know for a fact Wolfie would be more than up for it) .
Not to mention Professor Pearman joining them for a few numbers and -whythe fuckery-doodle-not - The Gragoyle, Lurch, Mr Whammy, Andreas Timbo and Patsy* turning up for the sort of 40th birthday gigs that HUGE SUPERSTER bands like The Stones and Thin Lizzy have. after all Andrew me old munchkin, surely this was part of the Grand Plan?
**and Chris Robo-breezers Ctalyst natch as he will have to provide half the stage gear as per.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

That was not the case in Sat, 11-Apr-2009: Athens - Greece - Building 56 - Hellenic Cosmos...
They managed to not only create fogscape in stage but the entire building was covered in fog for 2-3 days
Yeap anyone that was there can say that easily was the most foggged concert from Sisters

I remember he tried but this one was not one of the best concerts i remember him. Though that was a better than the one in 2006 tour at the same city.

Now would be an ideal time to announce something.

there was one gig during the US leg of the Silver Bullet tour where the fire marshall stoppped the gig halfway through because of excessive smoke and that was that! End of show!iesus wrote: ↑27 Jan 2021, 11:07That was not the case in Sat, 11-Apr-2009: Athens - Greece - Building 56 - Hellenic Cosmos...

these days professional smoke machines are built with cut-off regulators ....which are easily bypassed by -well, removing the switch!

It does feel sad to think that the 40th anniversary should come and go without any sort of fanfare.
What about some kind of online Heartland event?

i wonder if its too late to get Paddy to get The Smurphs out for the night. it might be worth a message to Ben & Dylan & Creff reminding them that their curmudgeonly overlord doesnt have to do much..just growl into a mjc for 30 mins.

I was once at a gig at Post Haste in Wakefield where some joker kept his hand on the button of the smoke machine for over 10 minutes. There wasn't even a band on stage, it was between sets. You could barely see your hand in front of your face.eastmidswhizzkid wrote: ↑06 Feb 2021, 06:17 these days professional smoke machines are built with cut-off regulators ....which are easily bypassed by -well, removing the switch!

The only place I remember seeing bands at in Wakey was the 'Rooftop Gardens' which was their local "grab a granny" Tiffany's style venue, i.e. terrible.
....if I have to explain, then you'll never understand....
