I'm almost tempted to copy it and put the original up on ebay:

GARY MARX (ex Sisters Of Mercy) CD 1995 and Nowhere
(songs written for the Sisters)

:innocent:

But that would be a bit shitty to Gary so I won't.

There's plenty more who would (and probably will)

It might be worth suggesting to Gary that he does this himself!

...and puts a link to his website in the auction listing.

OK, he probably wouldn't sell the CD for the full 10.99, but the extra people hitting his website to grab a copy at the standard rate would more than make up for his Ebay fees. It's good advertising.

How many songs are on the album? Just the 7 mentioned on the site?

yes - just the seven songs mentioned. But they're good.

I had a thought: This is the envelope I got my copy of "1995" in:

And this is a signed pic of Gary:

Does anyone else think they're the same handwriting? The M in particular...

Aw bless, he's mailing out the CDs himself!

It's these little details that can add so much to the value of such an item.

you heartless bastards - I invited him in and made him a cuppa. We listened to the CD and I advised him on his next musical outings, then he signed all of my Sisters CDs, tapes and vinyl, and gave me his anaconda guitar.

My copy arrived today. :D

Didn't quite know what to expect but I'm finding it moreish and almost hypnotic in places. Gary's breathy vocal style reminds me of a Jarvis meets Lloyd with the Marx magic added to the mix. 8)

I'll need to listen somemore but do I detect that Von did listen to these songs and rip the odd melody here and there for later use? Hmm, ...anyway his loss and opportunity #426 to ressurect the Sisters missed.

And if Marky Mark's going to ebay with his 'hand written, unfranked stamps, personally delivered, limited edition Gary Marx 1995 and nowhere jiffy bag', I'll match him with my 'hand written, franked stamps but his marker pen ran out when writing my address so I'm amazed it got here, limited edition Gary Marx 1995 and nowhere jiffy bag'.

Hopefully Mr Marx has invested the first 50p of my £10.99 donation in a new marker pen. :innocent:
