I said it about 2 or 3 years ago, but I still reckon Von would give Angels by Robbie Williams a good shot. He might even end up making it his own.
It would be very difficult to even imagine him contemplating covering a song by a goth band.

I'd love to hear "Lost in the Supermarket" or "The Guns of Brixton" too. Sorry, London Calling is in the running for the best album of all time in my book.

YES! Von needs something commercial to get the backing. I think that is the single to go on the new album. The only problem is he won't get as much €$£€$£€$£ and would be lining the pocket of the Fat-Dancer, therefore he has another excuse not to release anything

I just noticed yesterday that the bass in Sandra's 'Maria Magdalena' sound a lot like the Sisters in the 84-85 era. So why not:

She was a two hit wonder, one of which was 'Maria Magdalena'. I kind of like that song, even though it's on the wrong side of the 80's
. The Girls covering it, I imagine, would sound something like 'After Hours' mixed with 'Sugar Baby Love'. Well, that's the vibe I would go for anyway...

There's a much better finnish rock song called 'Maria Magdalena', by a rather obscure band Mana Mana from the early 90s. They were profound and groovy at the same time.
Actually they recorded songs in english too so good luck in finding them, i heartily recommend.
Ahh, this was a thread about Sisters covers, but please note that i wasn't the one who started talking about Maria Magdalena.

'The fields of Athen Rye'
i still believe that goth has its roots in Irish folk music,
its just soooooo goddam depressing!!!
