Though I do not dislike Phantom per se, but it's just there are so many better Sissies tracks. And like Boudicca, I didn't ever hear a bit of Morricone in it - though it is the first time I hear about this comparison
I must agree.

I do not like or dislike Phantom but to me it's like a demo/early version of Floorshow.

In no particular order:

I added a "Favourite Album Poll" so that the "Favourite" theme is all contained in one thread.

The Reptile House
Floodland
I Was Wrong
Emma
Under The Gun
Demos of Floorshow/Adreno/Lights/Teachers

Most things except the first single, which is very poor, can't believe that people like it. Body Electric and Adrenochrome are far superior.

re. the poll: given the options it's got to SGWBM -however,as it's not a studio album i would have to say FALAA (original version) as my fave and Floodland as the best.

I couldn't agree more. The first single is embarrassingly awful (and we should be thankful for the level of quality control that was introduced thereafter). I don't know why Von is so dismissive of the second... Body Electric / Adrenochrome is most fine. I don't even find the production, which is of course rather basic, particularly off-putting. Rather, I think the sound has a great edge to it.

I voted for Floodland because IMO SGWBM isn't an album, it's a collection of singles.

God how much of a nerd does that make me look? Ah well, I guess I'm beyond help.

I voted for FALAA as it was my first, very convincing, "meeting" with the Sisters. I agree on the SGWBM album. But not having collected all the vinyls  back in those years it was a very nice and most welcome compilation of the early days.

I also love Floodland and Vision Thing. Nice albums with each their own identity though I had to get used to VT. Next one...?

Got to agree, SGWBM and SCOOB are collections, good to see votes for Floodland, which is flawless.

First and Last and Always: Black Planet, First and Last and Always, Amphetamine Logic, Some Kind of Stranger
Floodland: the whole album
Vision Thing: Vision Thing, Ribbons, Something Fast, Dr Jeep
SGWBM: everything except the Kiss The Carpet reprise - and the lousy Anaconda-production

I'm quite a fan of Poison Door. Even the lyrics are not bad.

I would put FALAA way ahead as best original non-Von song though.

On a point that might be related, does anyone know whether Crash And Burn is Eldritch/Eldritch or Eldritch/Pearson (or Eldritch/Eldritch, Pearson or...)? The riff sounds conspicuously like Adam's output.

it's listed as composer Pearson, lyricist Eldritch.

Thanks CD.

In which case, I'm saying that Crash And Burn is the second best original song the music to which is not written / co-written by Von.

in what way is it a non-von song? he wrote the lyrics for it.are you simply referring to the music?

Yes. I think Poison Door, Watch and Home Of The Hitmen are the only released original Sisters songs with lyrics not written by Von. If we extend it to unreleased stuff, there are of course a few "gems" such as Garden Of Delight.

I was just talking about music not written or co-written by Von. IMO the best, or My Favourites in any case...

1. First And Last And Always
2. Crash And Burn
