by My Dominion
I have been visiting this side for quit a while.
And now I joined Heartland.

Looking out for the play in The Melkweg - Amsterdam.

Please to meet you all !

Thank you Ozpat!
Think Sunday 30 april is a fine day to see The Sisters.

I am wondering if it is a good idea that before the doors of The Melkweg are opened visitors of the concert will meet in a place near by?

Amsterdam is always a good place to see the Sisters. I love the city. I was there in 2003 and I´ll be there again at Melkweg.

Thanks for all the welcome messages !

A place to meet.... difficult.....may be at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Max Euwe Square?
Or The Balie at the Leidseplein (square)?
Or somebody must have an other idea for a place to meet what is not so far away (walking distance) form The Melkweg....... come on with your ideas !

Dus spuit jullie ideeen !

Greetings !
Groeten !

Oh no, not the Hard Rock cafe (very cheesy overcrowded and tourists prices, but hey that is my humble opinion).

As MB already mentioned, there is pleny of time to decide where to go. So let's do something nice, ie a lowprofile cafe, closeby the Melkweg.. http://www.amsterdam.info/cafes/dezotte/

I agree with Super Bob, plenty of time.
And yes, the prices in the hard rock cafe are not normal.
I've been there about 1 month ago and still i'm living on water and bread

I like your style. Not to mention your Prodigy circa Jilted Generation avatar. :notworthy:

Welcome to Heartland. I'm a De Kuil or Dampkring man meself, on the odd occasions I get to the Magnet. Next visit - 19th May weekend, all being well. 8)

Enjoy the gig. I'm guessing it'll be somewhat more 'intimate' than 6000+ in the Heineken Music Hall. :von:

And you mate. :notworthy: Should be a top gig, given that his lovely lady comes from your neck of the woods. :von:

I'm definitely gonna be in the Dam on the 19th, for a mate's stag-do. The silly, yet wonderful chap is paying my way too. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Shame it's a coupla weeks after The Girls play the Melkweg, but I ain't complaining. Faaaaar from it.

For anyone travelling over to see the gig, may I point you in the direction of a few essential phrases to help get you by. Kindly provided by Matt...

Professor Toodle-fuck’s handy phrases for a stag-do in Amsterdam.

AIRPORT

Welk platform is het voor centrale post?
Which platform is it for central station?

Sorry, I’m English. I didn’t know I had to buy a ticket before getting on.

Hier vijftig euro. Het zal niet opnieuw de heer gebeuren.
Here’s fifty euros. It won’t happen again sir.

EATING OUT

De maaltijd van Whopper met cokes tevreden.
Whopper meal with coke please.

No, there’s been a misunderstanding. You may well have heard me ask that counter girl for coke, but I didn’t mean the kind that you are selling.

interessant.
I’m sure yours is “real s**t€ but I’m really not interested.

Gelieve te verlaten alleen me.
Please leave me alone.

Werkelijk, houd op volgend me. f**k weg.
Really, stop following me. f**k off.

Oh de, okay, okay , neemt enkel mijn portefeuille...
Oh God, okay, okay, just take my wallet…

BARS AND COFFEE SHOPS

Have you got any Rammstein?

Een groot bier en een ruimtecake tevreden. Oh, en een pre gerolde
witte weduwe.
A large beer and a space cake please. Oh, and a pre rolled white widow.

Cripes! Kende u daar een orc in uw toiletten?
Cripes! Did you know there’s a pink orc in your toilets?

GETTING A TAXI HOME

Taxi!
Taxi!

Avond. Hotel wat gelieve te zijn. U weet het. In het rood
lichtdistrict. Of was het Leidesplein? Het is naast een kanaal. Grote
vensters. Ik zal u leiden. Die manier. Nr, hangt. Die manier.
Evening. Hotel what’s-it-called please. You know. In the red light district. Or was it Leidesplein? It’s next to a canal. Big windows. I’ll direct you. That way. No, hang on. That way.

OUCH! Okay, zal ik lopen.
OUCH! Okay, I’ll walk.

WALKING HOME

Ambtenaar, god zij dank! Ik word verloren, koude en vier keer
overvallen. Kon u me mijn hotel vinden alstublieft helpen? Nergens is
open behalve die magische paddestoelwinkel...
Officer, thank God! I’m lost, cold and have been mugged four times. Could you please help me find my hotel? Nowhere is open apart from that magic mushroom shop…

Ik zou sommige paddestoelen willen alstublieft kopen Psylocybin.
I would like to purchase some Psylocybin mushrooms please.

THE MORNING AFTER

Goede middag. Ik zou willen klagen.
Good afternoon. I would like to complain.

You sold me these mushrooms last night stating that they were mild, but when I woke up this morning, I discovered that I had eaten my hotel key and was on the roof of the old church naked apart from flippers and a gimp mask with the Eye of Sauron tattooed on my left buttock.

THE AIRPORT

Yes, I packed my bag myself and I’m not carrying anything for anybody else.

I’ve honestly no idea how that got there.

Is it really necessary to lock me up?

Ja, begrijp ik. U doet slechts uw werk.
Yes, I understand. You’re only doing your job.

Oh. Hello opnieuw.
Oh. Hello again.

---no doubt some of it will come in useful when we go later in May.

:innocent:
Most common 50 euro fines

1. Being drunk on a public road, where being drunk is forbidden
2. Carrying an opened can/bottle of alcoholics on a public road (without drinking it btw) :?:
3. Drinking alcohol on a public road
4. Illegal fishing with one or two fishing poles
5. Hanging around buildings, or sitting/sleeping on doorsteps
6. Acting stupid in a public space
7. Not showing your ID (16+ age)
8. Taking a shopping trolley to far from the shop
9. having the intention to climb (or be on) street furniture
10. Being drunk, or on drugs in public transport thingies...etc etc..

No definitive fees for carrying, using, showing, eating drugs known.. yet.

There you go, Amsterdam our funfree zone!

Have fun!
