aye, sometimes

i'm not a particularly good photographer so i always work on the scattergun principle, which is that if you take 47 photos of each thing you really want a picture of, at least 2 of them will turn out

and the "motion blur" was more by accident, and my shaky hands, than by design ;D

this is my fave: eldo in hell

 A professional photographer of my acquaintance told me years ago that most pros work that way too 8) Back when it was film, rather than digital, he said most pros think themselves lucky if they get one usable photo per roll of film.

Tuck your elbows into the sides of your body for a bit of support if you can. Obviously with most digital cameras you can't change the shutter speed, but if you're using a "proper" camera try to use as fast a shutter speed as possible to avoid camera-shake.

Way back when I took photos at gigs, I used Kodak Tungsten 35mm transparency film, I'd get it 'push processed' at a lab. 'Push processing' means developing the film for longer allowing you to use a faster shutter speed. The tungsten element illiminated the harsh yellows and ambers you get from electric as opposed to natural light.

@ Z the right side of your pic is moving faster than the left, hence the motion blur

hope that helps folks :D

Did anyone mention the pics that Mr. Christo has as a link at his Myspace website? Just in case...
