This is a film based on the book "Death of the Liberal Class" by journalist and Pulitzer prize winner, Chris Hedges.
It charts the rise of the Corporate State, and examines the future of obedience in a world of unfettered capitalism, globalisation, staggering inequality and environmental change.

The former Ms Swinnow just sent me this linky thing....
and there's that horrible misrepresentation again: "..murdered for dressing as a goth". No! she wasnt dressing as a goth- she WAS a goth!
"murdered for being a goth" is what it should say!

i've flagged it with some colleagues who work in news who will pass it on to the editorial team. fingers crossed they change it.

thank you Barrry, that means a lot. i watched the "murdered for being different" BBC docudrama again this morning and cried my eyes out. One of her murderers is eligible for parole next february. Where's the justice in that?

i'm not sure what the review process is, or how they feedback the results of any review, but that's the comment that was raised with their editorial team.
language is hard, but important.

Thanks for that Boss.
I agree with Lee, "murdered for dressing as a goth" makes it sound like Sophie was on her way to a fancy dress party or something.

Can anyone in Salford go next door to ITV as it's their storyline?

sadly most folks in media city are working from home - the only people who go into the office are production critical staff, who can't WFH for whatever reason

"The ghosts of democracy"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ufzQcf ... sp=sharing
this anarchist documentary on the far right in Greece and how it is using the pandemic as cover to desttoy democracy is worrying as hell.
ALL GOVERNMENTS ARE DOING THIS TO SOME EXTENT
Wasn't sure how this would be, but it's actually pretty good.
This is fucking awesome! I couldnt get into The Jupiter Legacy or Intergalactic (for now at least) but this has really cheered me up. a bloody shame that the first seasons been hacked in half and we wont get episodes 7-12 until next year.

i saw a trailer for that and wondered if would be as good as it could be or as awful as it was likely to be...i will give it a go if it gets your approval.

Definitely as good as it could be. Which is not to say that not all the jokes land perfectly, but more of them do than don't. Give it a chance - I think you might enjoy it.

Just started watching this
Miles more exciting than most of the actual races these days.
I did like the Alonso/ Sainz one when they tell Alonso his pace is really good during testing & then, on the very next corner, his wheel falls off
