Cheers for that effort, QB - I was a bit sketchy on a couple but didn't want to ask on here in case it was something I really should have known. Now I don't have to admit that.
Ah. Did I say that out loud?
I'll get me furry hat and coat........

There will be more added to it at the McHeartland visit I'd like to do at some point so I guess it's going to be ongoing.
Your time will come, though - it wouldn't be the same without.....

I have not a clue but any half decent warning, and an invite for a HL'er south of the dotted line, will see me travel to their frozen wastes!SINsister wrote:Erm...incidentally, what are the dates for the MacHeartland 'do..?

My thoughts exactly!SINsister wrote:@Carpy - what happened to the infamous book of g*ff? I never saw it after Santiago's, and never got to sign it!
The upside is we're simply gonna have to make some shoddy excuse for another sesh sooner rather than later. I'd not finished reading that book!

...and I'd not even begun! Dagnabbit, muskrats! My credit card'll be maxed out, and I'll be in debt up to my eyeballs, innit? (Christ, I already am! Oh, well!)
But it's sooooooo worth it.

O, I feel almost human again so a wee review is forthcoming....
The ball started rolling when Steve (Pista) turned up in the wee small hours of Friday morning. We enjoyed the quaffing of cyder and the sharing of oxo fags plus the gift of some very nice looking Hungarian booze-cheers for that!
Firday's mantra was 'I'm on holiday', meeting up with Planet Dave to greet Sinnie in town. We met Christophe and Claire and The Boss, who only stepped out to get some cash!
A prelude to the main event, the drinkies in the Scabby Tap went down well. After an Emo hunt we met Andrew and Zeno and returned to weebles Heartland Hotel were we were joined by our last attendee-Keith. Thanks again to Dave for getting people around.
Friday night was such a good laugh, I believe we held our own with the glow stick crowd (f**king cnuts!). Top tunes and moves with everyone having a well sorted time.
Saturday was payback for Fridays excesses and I felt worse than the new boy on D-Wing. More new peeps to meet and more laughs to be had.Only started waking up once we hit the new venue-top choice! There were times it looked like a swarm of bees and attacked the dancefloor there was so much arm waving! The Heartland moment with The Boss/Jo/Sinnie was top class.
The acoustic garden was home to some of the funniest patter I've heard in years and the zombified state of us lot in the people carrier going home was hysterical.
Then came Sunday, geat live music, further quaffing of cyder and whatever else kept peeps upright....
Perhaps it's just a well it wasn't another all nighter!! Much shaking of hand and hugs as we said our goodbyes.
Who would have thought three days would go by so fast?
Things I'll keep from all this: Mommy's Finger/Bat Milk/I'm Pista-Really? I'm pished to, how you doin'?/Covert Bees/Chicken dance/cocksucker/f**king goffs! There is more, so much more, thanks to everyone who organised this, who attended, those that stayed at my gaff (the booze was appreciated!) it was a Top Weekend Out.
Keith-I have your shower gel, it does smell nice and why oh why do I have so much paprika?

Ah, the paprika.
I was wondering where it was.
I thought the baggage monkeys had nicked it.
Brought it over originally for Carpy (tenuous link to "currently eating")
But, in the mildly spangled state I was in, I completely forgot to take it on Saturday
Feel free to use it though, or it'll just go to watse.
There's 2 types. Csipos= spicy & Edes=sweet
Don't get it on anything white though, as it's a b@stard to wash out.
Nice review there. Mummy's Finger
You forgot to mention the new "wasp dispatcher":- Keef's wooden spoon.
You tried the palinka yet?
