It's a very, very good album and one I keep playing...
I've seen them on the tour for that album and they were s**t
Have you heard their latest 'Shadows'? I think it's great. Nothing shocking, but heavenly melodies all the way through...

I know that social media friendships are relatively meaningless, but the fact that i'm FB friends with Peter Perrett & John Perry from the Only Ones continues to blow my mind!

Just a superb album - love it, have bought this on a few different formats over the years as the vinyls have disintegrated through use and crap stylus etc! Got a very nice vinyl copy again recently which I played loudly yesterday, now I have a new deck, & have framed the sleeve up for the wall of fame.

The gig was mostly brilliant. Lisa & Brendan's voices are very different of course, but give a wonderful balance to it all. They performed (almost) the entire new album + some classics and some lesser known songs. I do have to say that after an hour or so they were kinda losing me, especially because of too much synth use that made the sound go over the 'new age' edge...
Then the encores made it up big time and made me forget all about the little dip.
They still are a unique force even though the fire might be burning a little bit less nowadays. If there comes a next time, don't hesitate to get tickets!

I heard it on t'radio yesterday and at first I thouht it was George Michael or somebody similar. But...the more I hear it I think it grows on me. It was the solo near the end that got me to be honest.
Any thoughts?
