Went to see high on Fire with Meshuggah last night. High on Fire were excellent, as I expected - face-meltingly excellent.

Meshuggah, on the other hand? Not my thing. The crowd was into them, but they bored me to tears; I could not believe how boring I thought they were. They definitely needed their big light show. High on Fire, on the other hand, could probably play in someone's basement with nothing but a few bulbs on strings to light the stage, and they would still tear it up.

Got front row tickets to see Adele when she brings her World Tour to NZ in March. I like Adele's style, I think she quite Goth.

If they come through your town, definitely go see them. I've been a fan for nigh on 20 years, but it's hard to describe the live show. If Swans played country, maybe, they'd come close to SCAC. It's amazing.

Go. You'll hate yourself if you don't.

Did the Adele concert last night. Pretty good for an open air stadium gig. Being in the front row was an essential part of it - could have high-fived her as she wandered past. Wouldn't have gone if we'd been xx rows back.

Also got tickets to The Undertones in a pub in Auckland in July. Looking fwd to that.

Sux though to be missing out on Peter Hook and The Light as I'll be in Australia - would've paid good money for that one.

Sisters at London Roundhouse, but which date to do?! Any known after parties for either yet? I can't do both sadly before that's suggested!
