I'm a huge fan of his. Have you read his biography yet? He pulls no punches - he himself is the villain. It's outstanding.
No I've not read it but heard it's brutally honest , Saw Screaming trees at nottingham rock city in 96 and it's one of the best gigs I've seen .
Oh. nice. I saw Lanegan with Soulsavers in Dallas after the second record he did with them came out. Great show, but only about 15 people in the audience. I saw him again in DC maybe 7 years ago, and he was (as expected) phenomenal. Never got to see the Trees though.
Absolutely one of my all-time favorite bands. I don't think they ever quite got the respect they deserved. I think she's a great singer and an extremely gifted songwriter, and Jim Mankey's one of my favorite guitar players. First thing I ever learned to play on the bass was "Bloodletting," actually (which is not really an accomplishment, as it is very easy).
