Season 2 is even better. I was sceptical after season 1, but gave it a fair crack & it gets seriously good

OK I've just watched Star Trek Beyond and I take back anything bad I have ever said about Simon Pegg.

I absolutely loved it. Far more faithful to Roddenbery's original vision for the franchise than the earlier films in the reboot series, I think.

The Merseysider in me prefers this outbreak of northern outrage. Though my mates in Leeds, who are mostly too young to remember Brookside, would be advised to turn on the subtitles option

Haven't seen the last episode yet, but series 2 has been a big improvement on the 1st imho.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Ricky Whittle - appearing in Hollyoaks doesn't normally correlate too well with acting ability!

I didn't know that. One advantage of living in Hungary is that Hollyoaks takes a heck of an effort to watch.

Re-watching my favourite ever show before the new series starts

Just watched A Dark Song. I rather enjoyed it, and don't want to spoil it by saying more about it (other than mentioning that while I liked it, my wife thought it was too slow. I don't agree).
