Anyway, if this report was designed to test the law then it's fallen at the first hurdle, not having the support of a sufficient number of "outraged people"

I always find it funny when you hear older people complain about the "Yoof" as if they are miles worse than many of their generation. I remember my age group there were a lot involved in football hooliganism, my mother once said jokingly I hear the Mods and Rockers are coming down at the weekend and the woman carrying drinks dropped her tray and was very upset. There were issues in Glasgow in the 50's and I guess in other cities, every generation has had its fair share of tossers.Pista wrote:Salford police have a message about the yoof of today.

A salutary lesson of what happens when the higher-ups refuse to fund decent rolling IT updates. It is absolutely criminal that Windows XP is still used for any purposes. And I hold the Tory government 100% responsible for the failure.

Yeah that sounds familiar.mh wrote:combination of "no downtime during office hours" and "we have no budget for overtime" going on, meaning that servers which can't be taken offline during office hours end up not being patched.

There's a story from back in the days of the moonshot in '69 - apparently NASA took a picture of the earth from space, and showed it to the leader of a prominent flat earth society to prove that the earth wasn't flat.Pista wrote:The Earth is flat. Here's the science
