It sounds more like a farewell party though.

I think Las Vegas might be a typical sarky metaphor, probably for some hole in Leeds
I guess the major surprise is that he's jacking it all in

Bye bye Sisters?

Hmm, it doesn't state a venue, does it, so I guess Motz could be right...
Now if only we'd be able to gather some more info, then I can see what I have to save for
'have loved you' sounds awfully much like goodbye to me too though

That was my first thought too, but then I thought he wouldn't be THAT cruel to all the fans in the US to make a joke like that.

No. No. No, no, and no.

Just so you'd know: I don't want to believe it's goodbye either, and prefer that not to be true, but I always try to prepare for the worst
Meanwhile I'll be checking for flights to Vegas

Oh come on if we are to be "very surprised" then they can't be jacking it all in as that has been expected for ages. My money is on a release of some sort and how about this release date being the 16th Feb, Vegas is associated with money, marriage and gambling which is pretty much what he will be doing by releasing something. He has finally bitten the silver bullet could mean he has finally accepted that he wil not get a £2M advance and that it is now or never!?!?!? Just my tuppence worth and christmas is significant for birth not death.

I think it's a reference to Elvis's comeback.
Merry Christmas to all of you. My plane is leaving.

The hidden text on the Live Page says "USA" and "details soon", so I don't think it's a club in West yorkshire. f**king hell :-(

Been looking through the source code. What've we got..?
"Special guests on all Lunar dates: Bandname Comment.
Special guests on all Martian dates: Bandname"
(with "bandname" linking to "bandname.com"
The "normal ticket advisory"
"advance tickets also available from usual retailers ... probably."
Dunno if they used to be there in the past, but then.. just be pleased to have a date.
EDIT: Weird, both checking the source code at the same time..

Didn't, think of that yet, euphoria
Seems they just made an entire concept page, which covers everything that could be included
Code: Select all
The only surprise is the recent and remarkably inventive whining
of fuckwits who think that
dodgy darklings have some <NOBR>god-given</NOBR> right to
hijack a Sisters gig merely by alerting their closest neighbours,
surprising us at a soundcheck and
(reluctantly) letting us hear their (naturally) bad CD,
five hours before showtime.
Is this new

No I've seen that before I'm sure.

I have seen that before, but I don't recall seeing the "Martian" and "Lunar" references.

Perhaps.....
Now this is only a theory OK..
Perhaps it's all a bit like the time before the last tour dates were posted up..
The mythical "Heartland" tour dates, which I'm sure people on here will remember..
Who knows, perhaps this is a warm up for an official announcement..
It should be noted that a silver bullet is a fail safe solution to a problem, so biting one is different to biting the bullet...

Wasn't "Me love you long time" what the prostitutes said to the American soldiers in the film Full Metal Jacket. Fingers crossed this is a reference to an American tour ( a real surprise). That would mean "Bitting the silver bullet" could mean it wasn't something he was keen on doing.
Trying to stay positive.

I agree with Pat.
Now, let's hope for more dates across the Globe. I'm hoping for a gig in Sweden, a real gig, no festival, please.
