Of course

Bought myself a copy and will check out the ROGI, paper quality, etc. once I receive the items and then post the results here.

Hopefully, the reissues will be easy to recognise :urff:

Don't worry Vic, it's not remakeble in my opinion. This quality seems 'too perfect'...

Seller is cashing quickly, already sold 5 DD's, 4 BE's, 2 Alices and 5 times the whole quantity.

... and how about this one from the same seller:

I don't think it's very nice to bootleg official releases...

hmm, blue vinyl. things I like. The cover is ugly....

I am much more afraid of a perfect copy of the DD. :urff: :urff: :urff:
Hope that there is a big thing we can make a difference.

Be happy that you are sure your DD is the real thing.

It might be harder for future buyers.

He makes them himself... Isn't that illegal bootlegging official releases? :urff:

I second that (except in situations where the official release is impossible to get).

I was speaking in general terms (not strictly Sisters).

I respect this guy a lot more than the people who slap a photo copy cover on a CDr and call it rare.

That´s right!

also i think it is not a good idea to copy official things....

But as said before. it looks good....

And no problems with the different colors of the BE and Alice and the 12" ...
But the DD is to much....couse if we have bad luck you can´t spot the difference...

Strictly speaking these are counterfeit not bootlegs - though this is a moot point depending on whether you are the artist, a record co, or a collector.

Agree that these look almost too perfect; I'll be intrigued to see the DD.

However good a copy I'm sure there'll be a way of telling the original and counterfeit apart. Even if you copy the run out groove information exactly, you'd still have to replicate George Peckhams handwriting which would not be easy.

Speaking of Mr Peckham - given his contribution to the Sisters legend you might want to check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpidqcG7sSo

A nice story, Flagg! So this is the man of the ROGI on the DD?

PS: on the japanese counterfeit there was no handscript but lettering.

He certainly is!

Prolific during the 70"s and 80"s with numerous classic punk and new wave releases. Prior to that he worked with Led Zep and started out with the Beatles.

It would be fascinating to know what he made of DD when he heard the master!

Ref the Japanese DD, yes I'm aware of that. There are also some very good copies of early Joy Division singles that reproduce the labels perfectly but have not replicated the ROGI either.
