ROGI and paper quality will not be the same.17.auflage wrote:just hope there will be a difference to recognize...

Don't worry Vic, it's not remakeble in my opinion. This quality seems 'too perfect'...Victim of Circumstance wrote:Of coursepaul wrote:ah well, I guess some Germans do want them anyways
Bought myself a copy and will check out the ROGI, paper quality, etc. once I receive the items and then post the results here.
Hopefully, the reissues will be easy to recognise
Be happy that you are sure your DD is the real thing.17.auflage wrote:hmm, blue vinyl. things I like. The cover is ugly....
I am much more afraid of a perfect copy of the DD.
Hope that there is a big thing we can make a difference.
He makes them himself... Isn't that illegal bootlegging official releases?paul wrote:... and how about this one from the same seller:

I don't think it's very nice to bootleg official releases...

I second that (except in situations where the official release is impossible to get).paul wrote:I don't think it's very nice to bootleg official releases...

That´s right!Rise891 wrote:I respect this guy a lot more than the people who slap a photo copy cover on a CDr and call it rare.
Strictly speaking these are counterfeit not bootlegs - though this is a moot point depending on whether you are the artist, a record co, or a collector.despair wrote:I was speaking in general terms (not strictly Sisters).cardoman wrote:Such as?despair wrote: I second that (except in situations where the official release is impossible to get).
A nice story, Flagg! So this is the man of the ROGI on the DD?Randall Flagg wrote:Strictly speaking these are counterfeit not bootlegs - though this is a moot point depending on whether you are the artist, a record co, or a collector.despair wrote:I was speaking in general terms (not strictly Sisters).cardoman wrote: Such as?
Agree that these look almost too perfect; I'll be intrigued to see the DD.
However good a copy I'm sure there'll be a way of telling the original and counterfeit apart. Even if you copy the run out groove information exactly, you'd still have to replicate George Peckhams handwriting which would not be easy.
Speaking of Mr Peckham - given his contribution to the Sisters legend you might want to check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpidqcG7sSo

PS: on the japanese counterfeit there was no handscript but lettering.
