I really enjoyed V for Vendetta, was expecting a shallow-ish comic book type affair (what did I know?!) and it was really absorbing and a great story :notworthy:

You should read the book. It's a classic and has a hell of a lot more depth than the movie. Comic books ain't all shallow afairs. fact!

I shall check it out indeed, I thought that after I saw the film but eventually forgot about it  I haven't really ever been into comics/graphic novels at all to be honest as far as actually reading them is concerned, but maybe I shall make an exeption here.

Alan Moore is a genius. If you're gonna give a graphic novel start with this beauty....

There IS a wonderful build to the film, the reverse filming works amazingly, the strong colours & angles are mesmerising......but yep, a couple of scenes are seriously full on and then some.

I've never looked at a fire extinguisher the same again :urff:

See this movie and you will never be the same again. To me : the visual equivalent of the impact of the Sisters music. :notworthy:

Top film!

I've just finished watching this:

on DVD. Forgotten what a frankly stonking series it was. And there's a bit where the cops break into someone's hat and New Model Army's 'Christian Militia' is on the turntable.

You got the slow bit right but it has very little to do with any sort of rental agrement, its more akin to sticking something in your pocket and walking away with a look of pure innocence.

Finally got around to watching Pan's Labyrinth last night (El Laberinto del Fauno) -- I'm still 'digesting' and not sure whether it's a recommendation as such.
