Von's pants are a very dark grey rather than plain black.

In comparison to this, a friend of mine who's by no means a fan of the Sisters, but a black metal fanatic, was of the opinion that Sisters performance was musically the most powerful in the festival (topping bands like Venom, Celtic Frost and that ug greek band whose name i forget), and among the finest gigs he's ever seen (actually i got my first Sisters cd, Vision Thing, from him many a year ago, as he thought i might appreciate it more than him).DeWinter wrote:I got a call from my chum Petri, who was at the festival. He'd never heard the band before, so I'd lent him my c.d's. His response to the c.d's was good, but the gig bad. His summary was along the lines of "I could hardly hear the rythm section (he probably didnt realise there isn't one!), and all their songs sounded the same. I got bored and walked off."
Was a bit of an odd choice of fest for the TSOM, anyway.
What's the shirt?painheart wrote:

He first wore it in Manchester in 2000, I believe.
Pittsburgh Penguins also have those colors, but it definitely looks similar to the Bruins' home dark jerseys. No idea what the UFP logo looks like, though.Hom_Corleone wrote:What a geekMethedrome wrote:It's a hockey jersey of Star Trek's "United Federation of Planets".

I believe it has the same colours as the Boston Bruins.

.....which in fact is nothing like it is it?
I defer all hockey question to our Canadian colleague. The photos do look yellow/gold to me, not orange, though. Is that just the exposure of the shot? Otherwise, other than the different logo and black strips on elbows missing, this shirt and the Bruin's jersey look very close.Methedrome wrote:Although the Bruins jersey is similar, it is quite different to the UFP one. Boston's colours are more or less yellow/gold compared to the orange of the UFP one.
The UFP logo goes something like this:Petseri wrote:Pittsburgh Penguins also have those colors, but it definitely looks similar to the Bruins' home dark jerseys. Look, I follow BK Mladá Boleslav, so knowing the Bruins' colors is not that surprising.
I am sure that the UFP one like AE's, unlike the Wet Kings, would have the same number on each shoulder.Methedrome wrote:It's also quite similar to my hometown team, the Brandon Wheat Kings...
Ahh yes, the Mann Cup, representing Canada's other official sport.
At least in that sport when someone goes down, they ain't getting back up, (not like that other "world cup")
Bit like that when I saw Laibach play in Helsinki last year.. I had to go on a one man m*****n to start a moshpit!DeWinter wrote:The audience ? F**k me, Finnish people seems to like chit chatting, drinking, making out, sitting on the ground playing "bottle going round", doing everything else then watch the band on stage.
Unless that number was 24.I am sure that the UFP one like AE's, unlike the Wet Kings, would have the same number on each shoulder.
Somewhat out of context with the tongue-in-cheek emoticons of the original post.... Of course the number is 24.Methedrome wrote:Unless that number was 24.I am sure that the UFP one like AE's, unlike the Wet Kings, would have the same number on each shoulder.
