Favourite Sisters Era?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

the "releasing product" era

Everything up to around 1990 is my favourite era. Don't get me wrong, I do like Vision Thing ... just slightly less than everything that preceded it.
I'm headed for the trees over there

got to be the early nineties, releasing records, touring, generally looking like they might achieve what they were destined for and then........

My favourite, or better interesting, sisters era was from 1990.
From then I could going to many concerts and 'Vision Thing' was released and I thougt at this time the Sisters is a band and it can be expected much brilliant of them.
I came from East Berlin (GDR) and the wall was cracked down and I could buy all records and many bootlegs from my favourite band.
It was a exciting time!

Totally agree, with the exception of the recently added talent of Christo and Catalyst. They rock.
