Internal Jukebox

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sorry to burst the bubble there, but THAT one won't be seen on an official album, for obvious reasons ;)

The internal jukebox has gone haywire and is playing a demo song of a black metal band I produced a couple of years back, which has fine literary masterpieces written into the lyrics like "Taste the blood/ of the Nocturnal Whore" and "Under the moon- lit sky/I'll demonize your soul". It does feature a rather beautiful melodic solo from yours truly as guest musician. Perhaps that's the reason... ;D

Just where was the sarcasm?

So you live in Galicia, Spigel? I've been there last August. We played at the Revoltallo Festival on a hill overlooking the bay near Vigo. My internal jukebox still plays fragments of the crowd going absolutely nuts. Very cool!

Muchas gracias! I'll definitively take that kind offer if I return. I loved it in Vigo; they took real good care of us over there. Hopefully we'll get a shot at playing at Revoltallo with Ahráyeph one day.

Can someone explain why I've had "Never to Look Back" by The Strangliers going through my head all freakin' week, when I haven't listened to them for years?

Ahráyephy, I just had a look at the Revoltallo site from last year . :notworthy: It must have been wild.

It was! It was so wild, the crowd got me worked up to do a good show even though I was ill with a fever and a good bout of the flu (no doubt thanks to the Ryanair plane's airco system and lack of sleep; it usually happens that way)! And don't get me started on the beer... Plastic pints of cerveza all night long, for two nights straight. And the local food was just brilliant! We went on at 2:30 in the morning, but those people just wouldn't stop partying! Without a doubt the best gig I've played last year (and that's including the Graspop Metal Meeting, which was pretty amazing too)! Not to put any pressure on anyone, but that's how I think a Mac Heartland meet must be like; I'll find out soon enough... :P

High noon
Oh Id sell my soul for water
Nine years worth
Of breakin my back
Theres no sun in the shadow of the wizard
See how he glides
Why hes lighter than air
Oh I see his face

Where is your star
Is it far, is it far, is it far
When do we leave
I believe, yes, I believe

* in the heat and the rain
With whips and chains
Just to see him fly
So many die

We built a tower of stone
With out flesh and bone
Just to see him fly
Dont know why
Now where do we go

Hot wind moving fast across the desert
We feel that our time has arrived
The world spins while we put his wing together
A tower of stone to take him straight to the sky
Oh I see his face

Where is your star
It is far, is it far, is it far
When do we leave, yeah
I believe, I believe

*

All eyes see the figure of the wizard
As he climbs to the top of the world
No sound as he falls instead of rising
Time standing still
Then theres blood on the sand
Oh I see his face

Where was your star
Was it far, was it far
When did we leave
We believe, we believe, we believe

In the heat and rain
With whips and chains
To see him fly
So many die
We built a tower of stone
With out flesh and bone
To see him fly
But why, it dont rain
With all our chains,
Did so many die
Just to see him fly
Look at my flesh and bone
Now look, look, look, look
Look at this tower of stone
I see a rainbow rising
Look there on the horizon
And Im coming home
Coming home, Im coming home

Time is standing still
He gave me back my will
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Going home
Im going home
My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is weeping
We still hope, we still hope, oh
Take me back
He gave me back my will
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Going home
Im going home
My eyes are bleeding
And my heart is weeping
We still hope, we still hope, oh

Take me back, take me back
Back to my home, oh, oh...

Oh Oh I've gone back to sith form and can't shake the disease..

The best track from their best album, I'd wager.

BUT!!!!! I had my first taste of Rn R taking the p*ss with Bonnet singing the hits dressed in Hawaiin shirt, strange he was dimissed forwith!
But a top cover of 'will you still love me tommorrow' was forthcoming..

OK , MOVING TO THE TURNTABLE..............

Went to see Dio last October and He started with Tarot Woman, FANTASTIC .....the voice is still there!
