That'd be just great! :D If only it gets confirmed I'm going there!

Today I received a mail from the managment of the Festival. They mailed that on Thursday "In Extremo" will headline and definitly NOT the Sisietsr will play on this day. More information they dont want to publish, but if they (Sissies) play on Saturday in Belgium, the show at Geiselwind will be on Friday.

got the festival ticket and flight to Hamburg booked. I'm going to go by train to... well, that's a good point - to which station? and how to get to Geiselwind from that station?

@pikkrong

According to battleofmetal.de:
You will reach the festival on the A3 motorway Würzburg/Nürnberg – exit 76 at Geiselwind. Turn left at the exit, and you will find the festival area after 200 metres. The closest train stations are Würzburg, Kitzingen or Markt Bibart. If you let us know your time of arrival by e-mail to shuttle@battleofmetal.de we will arrange for a shuttle service, provided that enough people arrive at the same time. The closest airports are Nuremberg or Frankfurt.
Train connection from Hamburg to Würzburg e.g. takes 3:35 hours by ICE.

thanks!
but I meant - how to get from Würzburg or Kitzingen or Markt Bibart to Geiselwind? (I sent a request to the organizers and got a reply that shuttle would come only the case if there would be enough people to fill it this time - don't tink I will gather such a gang with me)

Hmm... looks like you can get there by bus.

At Kitzingen Station take bus 8150 (direction Bahnhof, Gerolzhofen) until Landschulheim, Wiesentheid. There change to bus 8111 (direction Verbandsschule, Geiselwind). This line obviously brings you to the school in Geiselwind. I don't know exactly how far it is from the school to the festival, but it cannot be very far. Geiselwind is a small village with 2300 inhabitants.

Geiselwind itself lies north of the A3 motorway, while the festival lies directly south of it, as can be seen on the link on the festival page. (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Scheinfel ... many&hl=de)
If you use this link to Google Maps: The school seems to be in Steigerwaldstrasse (you can see this street at the top of the map, maybe scroll a little bit to see it completely).

Hope this helps.

Just TWO days after I ordered mine for 68 f**king Euros. :evil:

Ah well. The real problem would be if the Sisters cancelled the gig due to, say, a flu or something. :roll:

ATTENTION - QUESTION!

Is there anybody who arrives in Geiselwind on the 5th?
Looking at the bus/train connections (yes PIB, I'm going for the long coat / wine option after all), as it seems I have no choice but to be there on the 5th very early in the morning. Anyone who'd fancy some drinking / talking / laughing at BOM public, is welcome to drop me a PM.
Regards and thank you for your attention.
