My birthstone's the amethyst; my sign's Aquarius.
 Mmm ... Fire & Water? - Ho hum, so we'll 'never get it on then'?!
- Forgive me? - Just a harmless Fantasy! ...

Oh, and, at least I picked up The Hollies reference (elsewhere) - Sometimes you surprise me you really do! - Are you sure you ain't telling porkies about your DOB? - Just kidding Hostess!
:innocent:

Samantha/Tabitha? - I'd go for the latter given a choice, but your real name also suits you too! ...

I like this thread, and pardon for multiple posts? I want to join in and pick up on many sub-threads, but 'tis tricky when you lot are mostly in the Land of Nod when I'm active ...

Dum de dum ...  :urff:

Could be an interesting 'spectacle' though: Goffs on Copa Cabana in Rio?
Sorry, Barry
His name was Andrew, not at all goth
With leather trousers, short blonde hair, and a sunglass-hidden stare
He'd grip the mic-stand, and smoke his ciggy
And while he always was a star, Tony played a mean guitar
Across a crowded stage, they worked from age to age
They were old and loathed each other
When the crowd yelled out for More?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love

I could have sworn I left my coat here somewhere...
    :D

Respect Guv! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Despite being the "Water Bearer," Aquarius is actually an air sign.

Heck no, man, I don't tell "porkies." Please don't underestimate me, it's annoying. ;) :P I've been listening to music since I was a very wee lass; anything Mom had playing in the house or in the car became part of my "repertoire," so to speak. You'd probably be very surprised indeed at the depth and breadth of my musical knowledge... :D

 Whoops, well Hush Ma Mouth! I should have known better about Aquarians ... Maybe there is hope for me yet in another parallel universe? - Fire & Air! I was teasing you about your DOB - It all becomes a bit comical (i.e. one's age) at my advanced 'score' ... Not for a moment did I seriously question your musical knowledge my dear! It was all meant in jest - Honest! I thought only myself and the Blasted One were genuinely old enough to remember that Hollies single the first time around?! :innocent: Please don't be so touchy S. ?! I've been accused here of having too thin a skin ... Shall we move on? :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I'm not "touchy" about it at all, actually! :D
I just think it's a tad ridiculous when folks of any age think they "own" a particular piece of musical history or a musical "era." I mean, ffs, I know a girl who just hit 30, who *only* listens to "oldies" radio stations - and loves Elvis, The Supremes, and other groups/sounds of that era. Is she "telling porkies" about her age, then? Good grief. What if I adored Big Band-era tunes? Should I not be "allowed" to appreciate them because I'm under 75?!

And who said anything about remembering the Hollies tune from the "first time around?" I was still in diapers, or thereabouts, when that song was first released! :P The Hollies are *still* on the radio here in the U.S., man.  Based on the contents of the usual playlists at one of the most popular radio stations in Connecticut, where I'm from, the station manager must think it's still 1975! ;D

*Dies laughing*

Up north the snow and sleet continues.
Looks like I picked a shit week for my holiday.
Guess I should be thankful nothing was planned.
The Mrs has some viral thingy and even the dog is looking depressed.
But you know, I really wouldn't have it any other way.
There's something right about the Scottish seasons...

Spring has sprung,
The grass has ris',
I wonder where all the birdies is?
They say the bird is on the wing,
Now isn't that absurd?
I always thought the wing was on the bird!

Nonsense courtesy of my father.

Real spring has already begun! We shouldn't blame Winter in Spring really....just global warming!

We'll be speaking of snow in Summer soon as long as the undercurrent of our oceans don't stop moving...then we are morefucked than we already are!

Then again the universe is also going through change and who knows when the next planet or star of cosmic being may hit us!

We're doomed anyway it's just now a case of saving our sorry asses ain't it.

Still spring brings a new beginning and that's always GOOD in my book...
