sorry

i've been too busy this year to even think about it, and when the 'dam thing came up it seemed like a good opportunity to give it a rest.

i think a break for a year would do it good. it stops people taking it for granted and reduces that level of expectation that i cannot spare the time to meet :|

to make it worse, there are dozens of things on in leeds and very little free weekends at any of the venues i'd use, and there's loads of other stuff on that HLers will probably be going to anyway: the 'dam meet, the lorries gigs, etc etc

a meet this year its a nonstarter for many reasons i'm afraid.

Sound words indeed (easy for me I'll be at Dam and Lorries) but a break will mean the next one will be fookin' mad 8)

okay boss, you have made some very good pointers there but i just missed the last hl meet!

as we seem to be a bunch over in the dam this year, then it would only be a decent thing to open my home to those of you who can not afford to stay in a hotel... so if you are interested i'll hear it from you. one bed is already taken, got a few more to spare and i could always put a tent up in the garden but it might rain! oh well something said to cheer me up in this thread...

also i'll go checking the going out schedule in A'dam on said weekend and see if there are any underground goth parties going on and a rave for planet dave, so maybe not all is bad, just still sad for some i suppose!

indeed mr. weebies the next one, next year will be mental! 8)

I'm very surprised you didn't get in a plug for Sin City..... :D

Make one of your regular Saturday dates a H/L spin off and have everyone come over to Manchester (Spit  ) for the night. Just a thought?

i was kinda counting on it... and i can't go to 'dam.

that just confirms it then. there won't be a 40th party for me. no, i'm not being arsey. HL was just the only thing that people would have come to. i don't have time to organise anything, and none of you would have come to norfolk anyway.

Understandable then. I have an idea for the 2009 meet, shall I start a new thread to see what folks think about it?

Any new idea for a meet in 2009 started now is a good thing me thinks!
