For Greater Good releases first full cd!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

First review in from the people that also reviewed ARF! ;D
Dark Entries wrote:From time to time, precious little gems might emerge spontaneously here in
Belgium, but often they barely see the light of day due to lack of
promotion. In the case of FOR GREATER GOODs self-titled debut CD, the light
of day ain't probably their favourite biotope; yet this release deserves
your full attention.

The band had the honour to already shine on several compilations, its
highlight being their contribution to the Cold Meat Industry compilation
'All My Dead Friends'(2006) with the track 'Le Jugement Du Roi En Jaune', a
track that can also be found on this debut CD.

Sam Devos and Izzy (both Est. 1975) are the core members of this (and let's
call it, just to make it easier on your brains) Dark Ambient project, but
they cooperate with guest musicians to enhance the atmospheric tunes they
produce, just to add that extra dimension to their spiritual creations. On
this cd one Edwin Vanvickenroye (violins and vocals) lent his assistance,
and mastering was done by none less than Daniel B (yeap, Front 242 indeed).

The result is a very convincing, atmospheric and not-quite-pitch-black
ambient album with just a whiff of industrial and neoclassical influences,
which trickles through your stressed-up brain like a dream-like emotional
soundtrack.

Miles away from the dance-floor, thus reaching out for that select crowd
that still dares to really 'listen to' and 'feel' music, For Greater Good
proves it can easily compete with the top bands in the dark ambient genre.

Mister Karmanik had better take these gentlemen under his avant-garde wings,
for in a world that's fair and just, a debut like this has to be rewarded
with a genuine label deal.

Absolutely recommended for all dark ambient lovers and Cold Meat Industry
fans.

First interview is in! :D

Those lovely lads at Obliveon.de did a nice interview with us, talking about the full-cd and the band.

Because this is in German, we translated it on the way home in the Queen's English, for your reading pleasure. It's here in our MySpace blog.

Enjoy!

In fact we play first, I also thought writing it like this would give poeple the wrong idea ;)

Ah no probs, playing first has the advantage of a decent soundcheck right before you have to play, plus we can sit back and relax to see the other bands.

...which are also sublime I might add! :D Much experimental projects, improvising and making their own instruments and setups...
