dammit
http://www.myspace.com/eurekamachinesSorry and The Sinatras tour postponed - All other gigs still ON
Balls. The tour starting on Friday is off. Sorry and The Sinatras have had to pull out, and it wouldn't be feasible for us to do it alone from a promoter's point of view. We're sorry to anyone who bought tickets - return them to point of purchase for a refund - and anyone who'd planned travel (we know there were a few of you at least). Here's a statement from our American punk rock friends:
Hopefully we can get involved on some of the rescheduled dates. Condolences to the S&TS lads, we know how much they were up for the tour. Some things just can't be helped, though. It is with deep and sincerest regret that Sorry And The Sinatras must postpone their forthcoming UK tour at the 11th hour.
The decision has arisen due to operational tour problems which are entirely beyond the band's control.
Says frontman Scott Sorry: "I have never cancelled a show in my life and words cannot express the disappointment of this news. We are gutted and truly sorry to all we have let down. We'll be making it up to everyone this Summer - fear not!"
The band are already rescheduling shows to coinicide with exciting Summer festival news - due to be announced very soon.
www.myspace.com/sorryandthesinatras
Huddersfield is still going ahead with us headlining - and we're trying to salvage something from the wreckage at Manchester. It's not the first time this has happened to us, and we won't let it defeat us - despite a few things trying to at the moment.
f**k Our Luck.
What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Anyone in London can see Eureka Machines this weekend at the 12 Bar Club. It's a last-minute thing and these are the details from the band:
We're playing at DOLLAR$ FOR DEADBEAT$ on Sunday night. It's a benefit for Roger from Sorry and The Sinatras, who is stuck in the UK after the Sorry and The Sinatras/Eureka Machines tour was postponed. So a few of us are getting together to try and raise some cash for him to get home.
We're doing a set, then an all-star line-up are doing a covers set to close the evening. Including appearances from Dave and Roger from Sorry and The Sinatras, Ginger (The Wildhearts), Acey Slade (Murderdolls), Rich Jones (Amen/The Loyalties), Tom Spencer (Yo Yos/The Loyalties) and Eureka Machines' own Chris Catalyst. It's only three quid in and all proceeds go to a good cause - one of us.

"This is new wave drag taken to the extreme...with a few covers, they also have their own sleazy New York Dolls branded anthems via killer tracks like “Rock N Dole. They call themselves punk rock pantomime from hell, but it is both funny and wholly entertaining. Beneath it all they also, amazingly (by chance?) have some great tunes. Either way, they do capture the essence of punk rock and irreverent shocking, gender bent in-your-face music." - Manchestermusic.co.uk

Bloody Hell!
Cracking gig, cracking band. How long before the Girls are supporting them, one wonders, yes one does.
Cheers Chris & co, would've been gig of the festival but a bunch of scary old rockers claimed that prize

Sleazier than The Stooges, Dirtier than the Dolls and Catchier than Kylie we have come to make Pop music filthier than its ever been..."

Just noticed the highly improbable-sounding 'gigs' they're playing this friday, at Garforth Town football ground (best stop short of using the word 'stadium').
Literally 5 minutes round the corner from me. What are the flippin chances of that?
And as for having to sit through a Garforth Town game....well there's worse teams in Leeds.
