agree 100%, but if gig is such s**t and so boring as the one in krakow you can at least try to take some photos in revenge as your moral recompense  if they are only humans, not gods, as i understand, we can kick their asses too, right?

Well I'd rather kick a god than a human being but that's me. :)
Anyway, this girl beside me, and some other people around, were not taking the photos because the gig was s**t and boring. They had had their cameras ready long before it started, and had chatted about how they'd put the photos on myspace. Not to mention "if eldritch doesn't sing 'more' tonight i'll stop liking him'', ''will there be a support? no, they never have supports, eldritch is too presumptuous for that'', "i wish patricia morrison was back in the band'' etc. Oh and the setlist was not wanted as a souvenir from a Sisters gig, it was wanted as another proof of having being at another rock gig. :|
All that said, I can't deny that the Kraków gig was crap. It was, it was as crap as only a Sisters gig can be.
:urff: :notworthy:

there was a lot of young people. i heard few lines like that but i'm always smile and don't get nervous. it's like honey for my ears, treat it like good jokes or something  but in other hand, in berlin, on beginning i was standing near two not funny grumblers, which should stay at home or go to watch that pearl jam vocal in small columbiahalle not sisters, and their sick mental starts spreading on me, so i just changed place and gig became much better ;D

The soundman had a strange strategy. If the vocal really had to be that way, than be it. I can live with that. But he should have at least turn the rest of the instruments volume up to very loud.

but then people complain that they cant hear eldritch...

you either cant hear von above the band, or its all a bit quiet. its a no win situation for the sound guy :|

there was a way - turned the fucking volume up.
i tried to enjoy the gig as much as i can - jumped, "sung" even join in "choir" during this corrosion and "sung" "uuuuuh- uuh-uuhh" afters eirst verse.<complain_mode_off>

Point is when you turn :von: 's vocals up, there'll be lots of feedback from his mike, since he sings at a very low volume level. I read somewhere that Von's low singing volume is a real challenge to most sound engeneers because of the constant feedback danger.

This means you have to adjust the rest of the band's volume to the level of the lead singer. Perhaps this explains the overall low band volume.

True what Bartek says, at this gig it wasn't about "you either cant hear von above the band, or its all a bit quiet". Something was just definitely wrong. Something - everything, because the guitars couldn't be heard either, not just Von.
Warsaw the day before and Prague the day after were both "quiet" as a typical Sisters gig, but both brilliant and at both the music and vocals were audible and everything was OK. The sound was perhaps "quiet" for some, "just enough" for others, "loud" for sensitive types like _emma_... Probably better or worse depending on who stood where, as usually, but generally OK.
I repeat: both on the day before Kraków, and on the day after Kraków.

Kraków was just f**ked-up for some reason, something was completely wrong, and believe me if _emma_ is saying this then it definitely must be true. :urff:
Oh well. So what. :D

As i said in the first post after the gig: everything was shifted on right level (mix) : voc, dok, guitars ( now i realised that i couldn't hear synth) but it was too low overall. I seriously could talk to my friend like we were in some pub not on a gig. And i was lucky enough 'coz i was on 3rd-4th row.
Agree with _emma_: Warsaw after they ( he - soundman) corrected the mix was good show.

The problem with the feedback can be solved with better sound equipment. Hence they rarely "play low" when borrowing equipment, like when they play festivals. Just listen to Nova Rock 2006 boot and then compare to, well, like every other boot from 2006 and forward, you can actually hear him sing! And the guitars as well. So my bet goes that it's about a budget thing.
