Let It Snow...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Snow on iced water hard enough to skate on means someone has to snow remove the snow so the skates can glide over the ice.

Guess who cleaned the snow off the little creek that's frozen solid this afternoon? :D

Be careful skating, we wouldn't want the ice to break and you to fall in!

Obviously you're not this stupid, but don't take risks on ice.

Parts of the Foyle, our local river froze over for the first time in decades. This global warming thing I guess. Should've used less hairspray back in the day...or maybe more! ;D

Yeah, I skidded a little on the way into work this morning. Nothing serious, I'd left plenty of room in front of me. Still a bit scary though :urff:

I was quite lucky this morning, it "only" took me 45 minutes to get the 8 miles I drive to work.

Having said that, It rarely takes me less than 30 :urff:

Thanks Mark, but I'm not skating, watching the kids that are! I stand on the ice though and if anyone falls in, I'll phone the emergency services!
One child also went on the ice near us and fell through, but believe all is okay although don't even know if a parent was around.
If you are going to play on the ice, you need to know the ice!

And I've slipped about half a dozen times today already with my snow boots on!!! Thank the stars me mum can catch me up everytime & no I'm not drunk.

It's all white again here too! Today was a lovely freezing cold day with the sun out and shining! But tempretures were under freezing point.

Tonight we'll hit -10 degrees and this week it will warm up to just above freezing point and are expected to get more snow! Shame my poor little new flowers I planted last Friday will probably die. Lots of different stunning birds in the garden though, back and front eating the food hanging from trees. I'm not moaning about the snow, but the freezing tempretures and icy conditions make it impossible for the elderly and handicapped to go outside making them housebound.

On the lighter side of the snow, the kids are all still loving it and soon, well over 6 weeks we can look forward to spring! :D

Unkle Jam~es, I have to go to work on my bicycle! The fuckinggemeente meaning council for this city, is council the word? anyway they aren't doing a thing about clearing bicycle roads here. no salt no removing of snow no anything at all! people in the street are slipping and sliding taking children to school so it's not exactly easy keeping balance on a bicycle going over bridges and I'm taking a risk to cycle where the motorists drive! Let me fall or slip or hurt myself, I'll sue these Dutch people trust me!

if it's NOT a scorching summer I'm going to perform like a sick child!
hear me weather gods or else i'll do dances to confuse you all and then it's the end of times!

everyone knows i'm a lizard type thanks to over a decade living in europe!
give me sun!!! give me heat!!! give me hell!!! hee!

yeah the ice age is coming and the ozone layer has too many holes in her to protect those radiant rays zooming just in from the sun. the climste change has started years ago, nature adjusts and then nature take over in the form of natural disasters that will become more frequent and more devastating!
