Sisters and the Dandy Warhols on the same day for 15 euros giving plenty of spare money for Belgian beer...I've heard of worse ways to burn money

Oh god yeah! I'd heard about Mera Luna & as tempted but then when I heard that Roxy where on the summer festival circuit, I thought I'd hold out on the off chance - never really believing such a thing would happen but it looks like I'll be livin' that dream this summer!!! Even get to see the horrors inbetween! So excited!Sita wrote:Isn't that great?! Will you really go there for a few days to see them both?bangles wrote:Sisters & Roxy!!!

I've seen Bryan Ferry open air and it was magic. Never seen Roxy though, and never been to Belgium, so I feel tempted too. Just don't know how to organize it.

Well, if it's any help my plan is to find somewhere local to stay both gig nights Sisters Thursday/ Roxy Sunday & then maybe go to Antwerp inbetween - never been but I heard it's nice? Having said that, I wouldn't mind catching the Horrors on the Saturday... The festival website gives a few places to stay...Sita wrote:Hehe, great, strength to you!bangles wrote: Oh god yeah! Current idea is to fly to Brussels on 4th and leave either on 7th or 8th. Would anyone local mind answering my practical questions like where to stay (Lokeren or Brussels) and are there any good (affordable) hotels. Should I rent a car to drive to Lokeren or are there any good train conenctions (bus) ?
Sorry to bother but I have time to visit one gig and have to decide between UK and Belgium.

Train connections are excellent between Lokeren and most major Belgian cities, don't worry about that. At least during the daytime, getting back wherever you're staying at night might be more troublesome, but I'm sure you'll be able to catch a lift on here
Don't think Lokeren is that an attractive (or easy) place to sleep I'd advise to check out either Brussels, Ghent or Antwerp for ho(s)tels.
