got back yesterday evening/night 8)
aside from some minor but expensive hiccup I had the most wonderfull couple of days.

but all you guys are interested in ar the gigs.
so
Ulterior: looked like a band, sound like a band, but somehow I don't believe anything that was happening on stage. they form a great boysband but they didn't do anything for me.
March Violets: Incredible, Fantastic ... worth the trip for sure. I don't need to say more, you should have been there yourself.
Dead Moth: .... they were quite enthusiastic.
Gangwar: walked in during there last songs :( and this had everything to be a perfect gig, the sound was not that bad, JR seemed to be in top form, nice venue, great crowd, ... but something was off :| maybe because I only saw the end but I love to thing they could do better.
missed the rest because I got back to get some sleep.

overall I had a top nite out :)
thanks again to all the nice people, and to the others too
no, you know who you are, and you are the best.
wish I could enjoy more of the night, I hope you understould.
see you next time!

Late again!

Collin and I took a train down from Glasgow, met Maisey outside the venue. Ulterior were stonking, and the Violets... well, I can't even begin to describe how good they were.

Going to the Slimelight was, as Collin described it, as if we'd "died and gone to goth heaven". Was right at the front for Gangwar, but the sound was terrible there.. couldn't hear the backing tracks, the guitars were feeding back more than they should, and I don't even think his mic was plugged in. That said, didn't stop me jumping around to Rev Rev. Good to see Eric has started making Psydwr, that went down a treat.

Ended up asking Chris Catalyst "So is Andrew really that much of a c**t?" regarding goths and the like.

Met Faderhead after their set, wished him the best of luck for the following night in Glasgow. Told him I couldn't afford it, and he immediately gave me and a +1 a guestlist place. Cue a very happy girlfriend when I got home. 8)

Collin got a cup of tea knocked over his wrist, but the pain eventually subsided. We bought a bottle of Buckie on the way home (because it was half 7 on a Sunday morning, and we wouldn't be judged like how we would in Glasgow ) but decided to leave it until a later expedition, and headed off to get our 9am train.

Goth pilgrimage was a success. Singing goth karaoke, cuddling Miss Ems, chatting to a set of tired wilting Violets, and having a maximum of 30 minutes sleep. Get in. 8)
