He's been perfect the last 2 times I've seen in him Glasgow these last 3 years. And he'll be here again on Saturday.Mav787 wrote:John Cooper Clarke in Liverpool this Wednesday.
Not seen him for 26 years. Absolutely no idea how its going to go.
I shall be seeing him here in Lincoln in a couple of weeks.Big Si wrote:He's been perfect the last 2 times I've seen in him Glasgow these last 3 years. And he'll be here again on Saturday.Mav787 wrote:John Cooper Clarke in Liverpool this Wednesday.

Where did JB's cryptic message go?
Tomorrow eve it's Richard Hawley and Smoke Fairies give support...
Looking forward to see mister crooner, don't really know anything about the fairies but I like the sound of their name.

Yeah, he was better the last 2 times before here in Glasgow. A few people actually shouted 'Do a Poem' as he was rambling on and on and seemed rather lost for most of the performance. There was a big turnout though, probably because of the BBC4 documentary, and I overheard most of them afterwards saying how much they enjoyed it...Mav787 wrote:He was good but not great in Liverpool.Debaser wrote:John Cooper Clarke at the Drill Hall, Lincoln - I'm thinking Wednesday

I'll have to kind of agree but still hugely enjoyable. I've always preferred it when he reads his poems over backing tracks but he hasn't done that for years! The support poet (who I'm wanting to call Mike Garry) was good too.Big Si wrote:Yeah, he was better the last 2 times before here in Glasgow. I'm off to Budapest on Monday for 3 days. Woohoo.

Enjoy Budapest! Any particular reason for this trip?
I just got my tickets for Depeche Mode in Budapest, next May. It's insane: sales started this morning, and when I bought my tickets around 8 AM, all the best seats were taken.

I have just as much of a dark side as the next person.
