I'm amazed Hollywood haven't done something with Day Of The Triffids. It seems perfect for the Tom Cruise/Michael Bay treatment.

Although thinking about it, an Independent British production of it wouldn't be a bad thing. If it was gritty in the vein of 28 Days Later.

Day of the Triffids. Search Triffid replace Zombie, and the plot is identical.
