His problem is he keeps on repeating himself and using the same metaphors over and over again...

Not at all like our favourite lyricist that would never dwell on trains, flowers, mirrors and self explanatory sentences like "shut the f**k up"...

Years ago I told my friend that Sisters' lyrics are far more interesting than usual pop/rock stuff. He took ASCOOB, watched the lyric sheet for some minutes and answered something like that:
"Yes, indeed, very interesting - guns and cars and accidents"

The "drugs" were included in the "mirrors" and "trains". As for women in general, they're included in the "flowers".

These are soon to be classic lyrics, also on the album (hiding in shame

) there are some very heavy lyrics about washing your hair in the shower, and how you'll braid them in a zillion braids..... respect where respect is due.

Other than that, I have been listening to a lot of Nick Cave recently, and he has to be up there with the best of them.
