doesn't really tally with other things he's said or hinted at re: his attitude towards groupies, and i dont even see how it would dissuade them anyway, but that's the only "official" comment i've ever seen from him on the sujbect

In the old more tribal days we found that Merseysiders were 'tolerated' by the Leeds locals. We always assumed they worked on the 'your enemies enemy is your friend' principle. Having said that nobody was ever brave enough to test the theory at the Scarborough Taps, Whip or Mucky Duck on a Saturday pre-match.

I think your orange shirt bedazzled them, "it burns us", as an unkind soul muttered. With all due respect even the Duncan in recent years is nothing like as lively as the Scarborough in, say, 1983. And thankfully so.

For the lucky observers who know none of the places mentioned. The Duncan is an.old school pub near Leeds Corn Exchange, close to the Whip and Mucky Duck and in a block that is long overdue renovation. My barbers was once in the same block. The Scarborough is adjacent to Leeds mainline train station and was a proper mad house in the early 80's but is now actually ok and has been known to serve decent Timmy Taylor's.

General Elliot, yeah, truly awful in days of yore. Back in the early 80's that corner of town was NF central. The pubs nearer the train station were Service Crew territory on Saturdays so we'd stay nearer the Uni. The George or the Vic were as close to town as you'd go before clubbing. What was the one with the boxing ring in between Briggate and the Elliot? Thankfully it shut and reopened for a while as a curry house.

To get even further off topic, in 2019 my youngest and I drove over the hill, with a Polish friend, to see NMA at Clitheroe. We regaled her with tales of the Pendle Witches and totally destroyed her faith in British tolerance.

My son.was also.seen deep in conversation with Marshall Gill at a set of traffic lights but he totally failed to recognise.him, despite beard and bowler hat on show. The perk of Dad being nominated driver lol.

You guys just come off as very judgemental. Not trying to be confrontational, but just like... be aware of how you treat others, and why it is that you feel these people are lesser than you for enjoying the same thing but in a different way.

Whilst I would agree with both you and @elamanamou that we should all be nice to each other, as let’s face it, we Sisters fans are few and far between (as someone once said) these days and need to stick together, I think that most fans (excepting maybe saints and martyrs) will have found the endlessly repetitive video link posts on the largest TSOM FB fan group tiresome at times, despite the excellent work of Ade and the other Admins to keep everything on an even keel. Most of the posts in this thread express that annoyance, rather than expressing any feelings of superiority. I think that most of the TSOM fans remaining here on HL these days are of the hardcore variety but I would describe them as specialists, competitive completists or even just plain obsessives rather than elitist (all of which terms, including the latter ironically, could be labelled as judgemental). But again, I would agree with the basic point that TSOM have always needed the new casual fan just as much as the obsessive completist. The great thing about the internet is that there can be (and indeed are in many cases) groups set up to cater for minority interest groups within the whole TSOM fan diaspora (eg bootleg collectors, fans of a certain era, those with an interest in design, those who live in a certain country etc etc). I just wish that the main twenty thousand strong FB group didn’t have quite so many links (invariably without comment) posted each day to the same old videos that many fans have seen thousands of times, and instead had more threads about important issues like tea towels for example!

i totally agree. the 2 tea-towel girls are proper old school as well. a sense of humour! we are GOTHS not emus

Thing is, FB has its own servers to host those images. Farms of them. Posting an image that's already hosted on a sever is a doddle on HL, but it just needs to be hosted first

Not sure but the bottom line is to display an image it needs to be hosted somewhere.
I guess discord either has their own servers or they have an agreement with a hosting service that enables them to display images
