When I was little I used to OD on Bazooka Joe bubble gum, cos of the taste and cos of the little comics wrapped round them. But I never went as far as wanting to trade 450 Bazooka Joe comics for an underwater camera or x-ray glasses.

Mind you, I bet only us EBGs remember them- I haven't seen 'em for years and years. I bet it's illegal to do something as irresponsible as sell bubble gum with a comic wrapped round it, due to the danger of little Kylie-Francesca choking on it. Unless someone knows better?

Nah, you can still get em...I got a box of the things last Christmas. They were good but nowt could touch Anglo Bubbly fer sheer blowing quality (and resulting f**k it's in me hair ability)

Actually I have a strange memory of sprawling on the sofa chewing whilst unfolding one of the comics. Then pondering what use it was since I couldn't read it yet...
